Absolutely terrible service. Northland Kia and its service staff don't care about anything. They lack the basics of communication and customer service. Don't expect them to do what they say. Or to give you the basic courtesy of a simple phone call. The car from them is ok, but not amazing. The service from the staff is beyond terrible. Buy your Kia from any other dealership - this one sucks!! Update: After posting this review I did get a call from Kia. They committed to correcting things at no cost and then quickly backed out and gave us the "let me talk to my manager" and have now ghosted us again for over a week. Avoid this dealership at all costs!!

Northland Kia did $2200 in unnecessary repairs after bringing in a 2012 Kia Soul for a recall. 2 weeks later, the engine failed, which was the problem from the beginning. They said we could use part of this amount on a purchased vehicle. When we were negotiating a deal, not only did they renege on honouring this goodwill credit, but they provided an outdated Carfax that left off the police reported accident the vehicle had been in a month earlier. I will not go to Northland Kia nor purchase another Kia in my life. The dishonesty at this dealership is disgusting. When I drive down Crowchild and see the sign, I get a bad taste in my mouth. If you are looking for a vehicle or are in need of repairs, go somewhere else.

We went in for a routine service. We were told on the phone the charges would be $149. that's reasonable. When we checked in we were asked to sign work authorization for $998.00 One of the extra items we were asked to pay for in addition to our oil change was a "crank case oil change". I asked why, given it would be the same oil. I was told the crank case change -at $306.00 mind you - was the addition of an additive, and running the engine, before the regular oil change. I was also told if I didn't follow "the program" I would lose my free Oil changes for life, which had previously cost me $129, because an additive was used, and now was only $69.95 - because it was FREE for life. We cancelled our service appointment, went to JiffyLube in Bowness where we received excellent service and a warranty approved oil change for $149.95

I had a great experience working with the Northland Kia team! We worked with Julian and he was incredibly helpful and very genuine. Vin the sales manager was also very helpful and easy to work with. Lauire helped us with all the financing and paper work and she was also very helpful and easy to communicate with. Would recommend!

Crystal is the star of the service advisor team! I will always wait for her to walk me through my service visit. She is excellent at telling me what work we should do now and what can wait. Side note the other advisors try to jump in to help me while I’m waiting.

Darren Eade at Northland KIA is the worst manager and employee I have come across. He was super disrespectful to my father and we left the dealership with lost interest in this brand…absolute horrible person to deal with.

Not super happy with my experience with Northland Kia. I had my vehicle listed privately on Kijiji and received a message from them stating that my vehicle looks like something they would add to their used inventory and if I would like to receive an offer from them. I replied and said yes, and then went to look at their used inventory online to see if they had anything I would be interested in trading in for. I found a vehicle that I would like to see, so I confirmed with the dealership that I would bring my vehicle in for an appraisal and look at their used vehicle, which they confirmed was still available. I let them know that I was on my way, and as I’m 10 minutes out from the dealership, they text me to say that the vehicle I was coming to look at was sold but to still come in as they had other inventory in that same price range. I highly doubt that was a coincidence. Upon arrival at the dealership, they had no other inventory in a similar price range. They also asked me to provide them with a number I would be happy with for my vehicle. When I did that, they said they couldn’t offer me that for it. They never ended up making me an offer so I wasted an entire afternoon going there and waiting for an offer after they reached out to me. It’s annoying to waste my time especially when I had the listing price clearly visible on my Kijiji ad. If they didn’t think they could offer me something close to what I was asking, they shouldn’t have wasted my time.

I will start by saying I really love my 2024 Sportage from Northland Kia, however, my experience with their sales tactics/service department has been disappointing. Before purchasing, they promoted free oil changes, which is very misleading. When leasing, there are additional required services with every oil change that costs somewhere between $120 and $550 per oil change, which is a far stretch from "free." They only explain these required services with the oil changes upon signing your paperwork for your vehicle.
My faith in the dealership took a larger hit when I brought my car in for the last two services. They failed to mention that not all the lines in the service package you are bringing your vehicle in for are mandatory, even after I raised my concerns about the costs. I ended up paying $490 for the second oil change, when it should have only been around $120. It was partly my fault for not asking enough questions, but I expected better transparency.
I’m sharing this review to warn others, especially young girls, or those who may not know much about vehicles. Make sure to ask questions and verify what’s actually required. I can understand now why other people have poor reviews of this dealership. Unfortunately, I won’t be recommending Northland Kia based on these practices.

Went to test drive a frontier, they wouldn’t show us the amvic (clarified I wanted to know what had been done, not looking for the 30 point inspection when they handed me the inspection I again asked for the write up of what they had to do to it when it came in) had us sign major liability just to test drive including my recording my insurance policy and registration of my current vehicle (which was NOT a trade and made clear it was not for trade in).
Bought at 2024 Frontier at SouthTrail Nissan … called the sales rep from Northland Kia and let him know, still met with emails from a different “product specialist” called him and explained that a new truck was purchased , please don’t contact me about the truck anymore … and received another email from a different product specialist today about the Frontier. These guys won’t leave me alone. Wouldn’t do business here based off my experience.
