Here’s my personal experience:
I sold my car more than two years ago, yet they kept charging me every month. When I called to ask why I was still being billed for a vehicle I no longer owned, they refused to refund even a single dollar. They continued taking pre-authorized payments for 27 months for a product that didn’t even exist.

Not a good company. You have to spend what they want you to spend. Or you don't get all what your entitled to get. Its a joke. Will never get this insurance again. So much paper work. 😡😡😡😡

12.99% interest on my policy
Can't cancel because it's a loan and will go against my credit

This company is a complete scam. The sale reps have limited and wrong knowledge on the policy's they sell. After thinking we were covered in case of an accident, we found out we were not because of their fine print (and unknowledgeable sales reps). We were not covered for the remainder of our loan amount after a complete loss because of a technicality and the way they chose to word the policy which will always work in their favour. We should have done our due diligence in reading a 25pg policy but this just screams snakey scummy business. 0/10

I bought this replacement insurance from Optiom, and I have to say this is one of the best coverage that I bought and it is out there.
I had to call few times to customer care as I sold my car and I had to cancel my insurance. There is a deduction when you terminate your policy after 30 days.
During my interactions as I was leasing another vehicle and I was trying to figure out if I need the replacement cost or not as my payment for the lease was include GAP insurance paid by the manufacturer.
I talked to few people in customer care and they were all professional, kind and very helpful.
I talked to Niki, Lara, Madeline, Tewa, Chris and Michael during my interaction with Optiom and I have to say that they were all professional, kind and very helpful and caring.
My problem got resolved and I believe this is a very solid company and I would not hesitate to buy this coverage in future when I buy a new car again. Thank you Optiom., and specially Tewa for following up.

Bought insurance for our Truck the company decided to cancel policy less than half way through because they felt it wasn’t economical for them . And only returned a few hundred dollars back as per policy that they keep most of it no matter when they cancel .. will never recommend this company . A total money grab

Be cautious when dealing with Optiom insurance!
I purchased their car replacement insurance through a broker when financing my brand new car, thinking it was a necessary add-on. However, after realizing I didn't need it, I tried to cancel the policy within two months, only to be told it was too late and I was locked into a three-year contract. The customer service was unhelpful and unclear about the cancellation policy, leaving me feeling misled and trapped. I was forced to continue making monthly payments for a service I didn't need or want. I wish I had done more research and read reviews before signing up. My advice to others is to carefully review the terms and conditions before purchasing, and don't rely solely on the broker's recommendation. Optiom's lack of transparency and inflexibility has left a sour taste in my mouth!

I did not know about optiom until I started working in insurance. Now I will not go without it on any of my vehicles that qualify. The staff are always helpful anytime needed!!

Contacted this company for two things - change the insured and claim a deductible. I was fortunate to get Derek L as the service rep. He was efficient, friendly, professional and made the whole process easy. Thanks Derek!
