Tried to contact them for a dog nail trim, which isn’t an option in their booking system. When they finally answered the phone, they crankily said they had to put me on hold—no greeting, just that. They never came back, and the line eventually started ringing again. It just kept ringing. This was the entire experience, and I won’t bother trying again. Shows how one bad interaction can damage a brand in a customer’s eyes.

Very clean and well organized, massive selection. More kinds of cat food than I expected to exist. Probably of any kind of pet food but I just looked at the cat food. Couldn't help but notice there's at least as much if not more dog foods. The two make up about half the store. Staff are friendly and helpful.

I’ve been a regular at this PetSmart for years and have had nothing but great experiences overall. I come here almost every week because I have a lot of pets, and I occasionally bring my macaw with me. The staff here is incredibly helpful, and many of them are quite knowledgeable about a variety of animals. That said, there are a few who tend to stick strictly to the PetSmart care sheets, which are not always up to date or accurate.
While I love this location and most of the staff, I think there’s room for improvement when it comes to how they care for their animals. I understand PetSmart is a big chain and has certain protocols, but small adjustments could make a big difference. For example, rodents like hamsters and gerbils need at least 6 inches of bedding, yet PetSmart only provides about an inch or less. Bearded dragons are given veggie pellets instead of fresh vegetables, and some of the reptiles, like the leopard geckos, are extremely skinny.
The betta fish could also benefit from better care. I understand they can’t be housed together, but adding a drip system with proper heating would help. And maybe consider setting up a sorority tank for females, while updating the care sheet to mention they need at least 5 gallons of space.
I get that as a big corporation, it’s hard to change practices, but I think this location could lead by example. Who knows, maybe one day the higher-ups will notice and update care standards across all stores. Lastly, I wish they offered a wider variety of products for larger birds.
Overall, I really love this store and will continue coming here, but I hope to see some positive changes in how they care for their animals.
