I've been coming to this place since the 1990s and it's been great, you walked in for free and they charged less for the parts because you remove them yourself. There seemed to be a whole "culture" in there. They had a hot dog kiosk and a room your little ones could wait in. For the recent years though, they took those out, and now you have to sign in. $2 for admission now, I don't know what that's for. They have a car inventory online which helps with planning. But my biggest issue now is the prices are ridiculous for parts which are mostly in the last half of their life at best, and some of the staff are simply arrogant, like they hate interacting with people, and it's usually the women there. I expect better in any service industry. The only reason to go there now is possible variety and a last resort, as a new part is not much more in price. I remember a radiator was $40 and the computer module was $13. What happened that justified current prices? The service quality needs an overhaul, since after we just struggled to get the parts ourselves, we're really not in the mood to get nickled & dimed by arrogant staff.

Weekends.
I have experienced horrible lineups multiple times entering the yard! This one iPad waver system at the till is horrible! Please either change your system of entry or have 5 iPads/5 employees working on entering the yard! No disrespect to the current one/ two employees working/ dealing with this garbage system!Barlow Calgary Location! 25 people deep line is unacceptable.

I would like to tell the management of this company that your customer facing members of staff are really grumpy. Obviously is a reflection of your crappy management style.

Customer service was rude, made us feel uncomfortable as if they didn’t want to be there at their jobs.

Google maps indicates your business hours are open till 6:00 pm, but no “admission” allowed to check inventory at 5:30 pm? That is completely outrageous!! Now I must drive across the city again tomorrow morning to check for the part that might be there or not. You guys totally “misfired” on that one….??♂️update, I won’t be shopping here again! It’s way more efficient to find what I need online. See you never.

Drove up from Edmonton and when I was leaving I was charged for three different parts for one ashtray.
When I walked out the door I asked why I didn't get a seniors discount ans carrie the manager said I didn't ask for it and it was to late to apply.
I chuckled.
I'm the finance manager at a dealership and if any of my employee's treated someone like that they'd be gone.

There's a great selection of American, European and Japanese vehicles in the yard. Polite knowledgeable staff and fair prices. However, when I see a 41 Ford truck in the lot, I almost cried. Hope someone bought it to restore.

I went to Pick-n-Pull to help a friend find a replacement tailgate for his Ford F-150. We found a good one but, unfortunately, the truck was parked back to back with another vehicle so the tailgate couldn't be removed. There was no one who could move the truck to give us access because it was nearly closing time when we found it. We were told to come back the next day, and the cashier agreed to waive the $2 admission for a return visit since we had already paid it and weren't able to buy the part we wanted. When my friend returned the next day, he was told it might take a week before they could move the truck. Hopefully, no one else buys the part. In the meantime, I've given this place a neutral rating.

This place is ridiculously slow for service.
10min wait, just to get in the gate.
Why don't you streamline the system so us guys who just want to pay our cover charge can proceed right through? I was stuck in a lineup of stupid customers asking stupid questions. Pro Tip for customers : if you're that clueless, matbe you don't belong at a self serve junk yard?
Then, another 20min lineup at the checkout.

Prices have really gone crazy here in the past few years. Lots of parts are double what they were 2 years ago, it's often more expensive than buying new from rockauto now.

Found an amazing deal on a 03 toyota sequoia suv with low kms 218,000! $4000 cad. Got a bunch of other parts and a 30% coupon for parts from the yard. Still find some wild deals for used cars
