This location is a nice, clean store but it seems to be really lacking in certain items and staff knowledge.
There is a focus on local items in some places while completely leaving out commonly purchased items. I often find myself having to go to Co-op to get some items as this store just doesn't carry them. They also seem to run out of sale items super quick, something is up with the management here and their ordering.
Staff aren't super helpful here either. Often times I've asked staff where something is and they just don't know. I've also had several times where I've asked staff to look for something in the back and they "don't know how to do that".
Also adding, the Starbucks in this store doesn't seem to train their staff well. Skip that, go to the one in the parking lot instead.

This Safeway is nice, but doesn't carry everything so you usually have to go somewhere else to get the rest.

A nice Safeway, good open layout. However, it has a sub par traffic layout, with the store main entrance and pedestrian path by a busy 4 way stop.

This is a great grocery store. Well organized, clean, friendly staff. Honestly, aside from things being expensive (like everywhere else), I'm not sure what else you could want.

I live close to safeway Aspen landing,Safeway used to be one of my favorite places to shop, but these days things are different, I started to notice that the staff there is no longer as good, and there are things that should not be eaten because they are past their expiration date, like Kinder Surprise I bought it yesterday for my kid.

This store is RACIST, DISRESPECTIFUL, UNPROFESSIONAL!
My parents went to the Aspen landing Safeway for groceries shopping, and a clerk suddenly accused them of eating the cherries on shelves. The clerke pointed a cherry pit on the floor and asked my parents stop what they were doing. Not only that my parent didn't eat any cherry of the store's, they didn't eat anything or eating anything at that moment, but because laguage barrier they did not know how to explain to the clerk, except shaking thier heads and hands.
The clerke didn't get the respond he wanted and became upset, he kicked the cherry pit away furiously. My parents felt nervous and started walking away from the clerk, and the clerk followed them. He then picked up another cherry pit and accused them again and again, for three times!
My mother requested to speak to a Chinese-speaking clerk, who then came and helped translating. My mother suggested to check the security video and return their innocence. After a while, a store manager came back and told everyone that she saw them eating cherries in the video, and that was announced in front of a lot of other clerks and customers, but she (manager) refused to show my parents the video.
My parents then called me to get to the store, and after I talked to the clerk and the manager, the clerk admitted he never saw my parents eating the cherries , he was just making an assumtion! And the store mananger changed her story too, she said“ she only said she saw the video, but didn't saw my parents eating”
I know my parents definitely didn't eat the cherry，because my mother has rhinitis and she was wearing a mask all the time. My dad likes being compulsively neat and clean, he's terrified of germs, they can't eat any thing unwashed. Only because they don't speak English or explain themselves in the clerk's language, they had to be humiliated in public! My parents were accused of something they didn't do, and were humiliated in front of many people. We live in same small community, and now they’re afraid to go out and see other people. The way Safeway clerk and store manager treated my parents was absolutely racist, disrespectiful, and unprofessional!
We moved to Aspen wood few years ago, I always believed our community is comfortable and livable. I though we have the best harmonious neighborhood. The Safeway clerk and manager not only insulted and humiliated my parents today, but also ruined Aspen Safeway's image and reputation.
We demand an formal apology letter from Safeway, to return my parent’s innocence and reputation. Moreover, I hope Saftway takes this matter seriously and make every effort to improve their customer service and staff training.

Apparently this store can no longer afford staff. Went there twice now in the morning, 9 checkouts 0 staff. The only staff was working self checkout. New policy is to open all self checkout only. Used to be my go to grocer, won't be anymore.
