For many years, I enjoyed the donuts here from the bakery. UNTIL I SAW FLIES BUZZING IN THEM ONE DAY. IN WINTER.
Then I told the bakers about it, all they said was “extra protein for you.” ??
Might be extra protein, but also a ton of other nasty stuff… I have a family rule: if it’s the dead of winter, and you see flies in a place, DO NOT eat there. It means there is something rotting, sustaining the flies.

The entrance of this store is always so disgusting. Discarded food, cigarette butts and spit. The unmistakable reek of urine is an added bonus. Expectations should be low when approaching a Safeway, but this location is pretty remarkable.

This is a lovely Safeway with down to earth employees. They're so welcoming and accommodating. We love Sherry, Rosa, Rose, Mandy, Destiny. Just to name a few.

No hours posted on the doors, lights are half off at night leaving you wondering if open, but you can't check without trying to go in, this feels like next stage before they say we close earlier because no one comes in. Sort of hard when you look closed. otherwise... Standard Safeway. Staff at registers a little more kind and fun than many others.

Just bought some red velvet cupcakes from the Beddington Safeway. Fantastic. Please keep these in stock. Haven't seen them in a long time. Yummy. Great store.

They didn't have Harvest Moon Mills flour, which was the reason for our trip to this particular Safeway, but other than that, which is really the fault of HMM, it's just a regular grocery store

Beddington’s Safeway bakery is pretty awesome. If you want to make your own pizza, just buy your dough from the counter here. If you want the best sourdough loaves, then also check them out (sliced or otherwise) - and bonus, if there’s none on the shelf, you’re likely in luck for one fresh out of the oven.
