Thanks to the Sleep Expert, Alfonso, who giving us professional advice with his in-depth product knowledge and superior service, we are very satisfied to the mattress, the pillows, the mattress cover and the bed we bought. Let me tell you about our 1 star rating - for the local warehouse itself not the store or sales. Our goal was to save up for a very good mattress as my husband and I have several back issues. Tempurpedic was the winner. We put a down payment for a “warehouse” sale that would be good for 6 months. Fine. We paid it off cash. Bed arrived. It seemed uncomfortable at first. Ok, but we Gave it a good few weeks to get broken in (5 weeks to be exact). I said, this isn’t like the one in the store, we need to get a different bed. We went to another sleep country store and tried the higher range Tempurpedics. It Felt glorious. I guess we made a mistake the first time. So we Paid an extra $3500. The New bed gets delivered. The delivery guys took out their flashlights and start examining the “old” bed with a fine tooth comb. They say Sorry, we have to speak to the manager. There is a stain on it. (See picture for said stain). They refused to take the bed back or deliver the new bed we paid extra money for. We hadn’t even taken the assigned Sleep Country mattress cover off until that morning to which there was no stain on it So how did we make the stain on the actual bed!?!? We hadn’t washed it, so how did the stain come from the bottom up?!? It was less than the size of a dime fyi. It must have been delivered that way. So we called our sales rep who stated there was a cleaning solution we could pick up to remove the stain so they could take it back. So you sell special stain remover, but don’t take the mattress back if there is a stain on it?!
By that time the order had already been cancelled and the delivery team left.
At the time of this review I am still waiting on a member from management in customer service to contact me. So not only are we out a total of $7,477.04 (we bought a bed frame also) - we’re stuck with a shitty, probably previously used low grade tempurpedic mattress. So my advice to everyone if you dare spend a dime with this company, would be once it’s delivered inspect the bed WITH the delivery people like you would a rental car. ??♀️ I could understand if it was a big sweat stain or something from a few years use but less than a dime size!? On a bed that is less than your 100 day guarantee???!!! Do better Sleep Country.

Parents be aware!!!
Couple years ago I purchased a mattress from sleep country Canada for 3000$ plus for my son. It was the biggest mistake ever. I’m very disappointed and disgusted with the quality of the mattress. My son has been getting an extremely bad scratch and his body is always red. Didn’t know what the cause as till couple months ago. I alway noticed tiny dust all around his bed and on the floor. And also it has little tiny holes all over the mattress, that cause the foam to out and form into little balls. It is pretty annoying that I have to vacuum it every week. I called the customer service and they said it, that’s it’s not cover under the warranty. Clearly this mattress is Defective. SHAME ON YOU SLEEP COUNTRY for making such a cheap mattress.

Purchased a Molouf Zoned Dough BOGO. Tried both firmness in store and decided on the medium/firm. Used Pillows 2x's, both my spouse and I had the same experience, pillow flattens out and no support at all. I question whether I have the right firmness as when I chatted with a sleep country expert online they told me the Active Zoned Dough is the Medium and the Zoned Dough is Soft. There seems to be a discrepancy with what you are told in store vrs what is listed and told online. I called customer service to ask whether I received the correct pillow, i am now waiting for my call to be escalated as the person I was dealing with was not helpful at all. I understand I can not return the pillows, i just want to confirm if I have the correct firmness of pillow??? I also asked my sales person what I could do for the pillow if i am stuck with it, give me some ideas to make the pillow more usable, they offered no solutions at all. You may want to go to Costco and buy one of their memory foam pillows as they support/treat their customers much better and their pillows are cheaper. I do not recommend buying this brand at all.

The sales staff was really pushy and didn't give you much time to think about what we were getting. Felt like they're breathing down your neck the entire time. Prices are extremely high on everything except for the most basic of beds. They upsold me sheets and a mattress protector claiming they were luxury but were honestly equivalent to Walmart for x3 the cost.
We ended up getting a clearance mattress for a good price but because it's clearance we can't bring it back after trying it. Stuck with a less then ideal mattress now.
Don't buy their claims on "cooling matresses", no difference from the Costco mattress I had before this. Should have just went to Costco honestly.

Sleep Country's' company is a scam. I bought 2 pillows from them $250 each thinking that I will help me sleep better. I had an injury and I've been advices by my doctor to get good pillows that can better support my back. I went to sleep country and they showed me and let me tried a few options. Finally found this Polar Tropic Pillows. I fell for it as is was super soft when I tried it. So I grabbed two of them since it was also on sale. I went home and it was super firm. I let go for a bit thinking that it will be better a wk or so. But no it didn't change at all after 2 months. The pillow the I tried in the store is a lot softer than what they gave me. It's very frustrating, so deceiving and it's not fair. My back is more damaged and I'm in a lot of pain each time I woke up. I ended up coming to the physio and chiro more often. Cost so much money. I went to sleep country less then a month after the purchased to discuss the issue. They declined to give me a refund instead asked me to call the head office. So then I called and left a few messages but no response. So I called again and finally got someone to talk to me but once again they refused to give my money back. They said, it was in the contract that it's no refund no exchange. But that's unfair most specially if I asked for a soft version of it not firm. They said that the reason why "those pillows in the store is a lot softer is because a lot of people had tried them already" which is a very vacuous explanation. Why would they ask people try those pillows if they know that the pillow they will give won't serve the same comfort as the pillows in the store?! That's a big scam and will be reporting this to consumer report for sure! They tried to bargain and said they will give me $50 coupon for my next purchase with them... You mean, so you can scam me again? It's another trap! What made them think I will go back after having this very bad experience? Stay away from Sleep Country. Never buy anything from this store. Not only they are over priced but they're merchandise are awfully bad! If I can only give negative ratings I will! They don't deserve any star at all!

Sold me missed matched items that did not work together. Did not receive the advertised buy one get one free pillow. Apparently it was a final on a used mattress. Boy did they see me coming. I’ll see if there’s anything visa can do as they have insurance to help protect consumers.

Spoke with Krish on the phone, he offered a 1500$ Queen Casper for 800$ with free pillows and bedsheet set. Went into the store to make a deal, Krish was not available and met Alfonso who did not even care what I had spoken with Krish over the phone and straight up declined to entertain the offer and did not even try to offer an alternative. Horrible customer service skills to say the least.

Their actual product is not the same as the demos. In reality, their products are firmer. That's the sad conclusion I've drawn after making multiple purchases.

After I moved to Calgary I visited 4 times to this store to buy all the beds and mattresses that I wanted to buy for my new home. I feel Mr Krish and Mr Alfonso both provided us the best possible customer service that one can expect from a Sleep Country store. They advised us the right products and explained everything in details so that we can make an informed decision. Mr Krish is the one, who helped us most of the time and went above and beyond to retain us as a happy customer always. Recently purchased a mattress from this location. Before visit, I didn’t know anything about the mattress but the sales person Krish was very knowledgeable. He walked through the process, spent 1 hour & helped me in finding the right mattress.
