Patricia management absolutely ruined the experience here, would never go back in my life, SC Chinook you need a new manager, she sucked the life out of the atmosphere, just the most miserable attitude, Find a new job if you don't like what you're doing would give 0 stars if possible

I had already decided on which shoes I was going to buy when Robin came up and asked me what I’d be using them for. He even took the time to look at my feet while I was standing, and based on that, he recommended a pair that turned out to be so much better than what I originally chose. I ended up buying his recommendation, and I’m so glad I did—it’s a perfect fit. Robin went above and beyond and gave me the best shopping experience I’ve had in a long time. Hands down the best service ever!

Don’t bother coming here if you are a customer who is willing to buy a bike because the sales and tech staff have no intention or interest in selling you one. I was recently at this store to look at a couple brand of bikes that their website says was in stock. I find out that only one was actually in stock and was told that even though it says “in stock” online that can be “iffy” and not accurate. So the one that was available was still in the box unassembled. As I don’t usually buy a bike without trying it out or fitting for size, I asked if it could be assembled and I would come back the next day to check it out. As said by the manager, it would be possible but they don’t usually like having too many bikes on the floor. I find this strange as who buys bikes completely out of a box without seeing it or trying it out for size????? Thinking that they were going to assemble the bike I call the store the next day to see if it was ready and was told that the technician is on break and took down my number and bike info and they would call me back. Well, it’s been 4 days since my visit at the store and I have not received a call back. Clearly, very poor customer service as they obviously did not intend to assemble or care to sell me this bike. Guess you can just keep your bikes in the box and let them gather dust in the inventory department.

We did the sport chek Mother’s Day run again this year and it was so great! Stopped by the store after for some new socks and shorts!

Not even close to enough staff on the floor and the ones around are not exactly bursting to be helpful to say the least. Have had a good experience here in the past but lately I’d avoid this place with a 10ft pole.

PS update-the team clearly doesn't want any feedback or anything to do with customer satisfaction, the link shared below in the response,doesn't work..
I strongly recommend not buying your bicycle from this store. There’s a long list of issues, but the most concerning was the dismissive and unhelpful attitude from most of the staff. It genuinely felt like they were trying to avoid us, and any request for help was met with indifference.
We went in to buy helmets and had to chase down someone to assist us. When we finally got someone's attention, their response was: “It’s a personal choice, I don’t know.” No effort to guide us, suggest options, or even explain safety features—just completely unbothered.
It took three separate visits just to pick up the bicycle. The technician wasn’t available the first time, and when we finally did get the bike, it was clear no adjustments had been made despite being told it was ready. We had to ask again for basic setup help and were made to feel like we were being difficult. At one point, it was even suggested we just do it ourselves at home. Seriously?
To top it off, we were incorrectly charged for an item. The staff promised a call back from the manager, which, of course, never came.
The only bright spot was one staff member—Ben (hope I got the name right)—who actually tried to help. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience completely overshadowed that.
I won’t be returning, and I’d suggest others steer clear too!

I found a Helly Hansen raincoat that I absolutely loved—the colour and style were perfect. Unfortunately, they didn’t have it in a medium, only a small. One of the associates at the Chinook Sport Chek location told us to head to the East Hills store, assuring me they had the size I needed. I asked if she could call to confirm, but she told me to “trust her” and claimed she knew they had it.
When we arrived at the East Hills location, Gabriel—who was very helpful—checked the system and explained that the item was not available in-store or online. He was very apologetic and unsure why the Chinook store had sent us there.
I should have trusted my gut and insisted they call to confirm before we left. Lesson learned: don’t take someone’s word when they say “trust me” without verifying it. Sadly, no one at the Chinook location even offered to help—they were too busy chatting among themselves. Disappointing experience at Sport Chek Chinook.

Walked in and was pleasantly surprised that there was a greeter saying hello at the front door. I went in looking for a specific pair of runners. I went to the wall where they are displayed and walked back and forth and back and forth for at least 5 minutes. I looked around thinking the clerks were busy. They weren't. They were busy hanging out with each other talking and laughing and completely ignoring customers. I walked out. I bought a $140 pair of runners at a competitor store.

Been looking around town for the perfect tennis shoes and found them here on sale! Great work by Donna, Aden and Nursultan. Very friendly and knowledgeable!! Keep up the great work guys

Garbage service. Very few employees. I don't have all day to sit and wait for the only employee working in footwear. Just avoid this store. Won't be coming back.
