My experience at Cook Book Co. was truly exceptional. The store's curated selection of kitchen tools and ingredients, combined with the informative and enjoyable cooking class, made for a memorable evening. The chef and staff's friendly demeanor, attentive service and hard work further enhanced our experience. A special shout-out to Joe, whose enthusiasm, helpfulness, and humor made a significant impact on our small group of 2.
I highly recommend visiting Cook Book Co. to any foodie or aspiring home cook looking for a unique and delicious adventure.

This is such an amazing place! I can't say enough about it. They carry such high-quality produce, cookware, prepared meals, and ingredients - and they also have fantastic cooking classes and travel excursions. They bridge the gap between local and international ingredients, with the common thread being outstanding quality and affordability. The staff is excellent, too; I always leave happy after spending time in the store. Each spring/summer, I subscribe to the weekly produce box, which provides delicious, local, farm-fresh produce - it’s a great way to get introduced to new fruits and vegetables, and each box comes with a recipe featuring an ingredient from that week’s box! Did I mention I love this place? :) I highly recommend checking it out and seeing what you discover.

I bought a couples cooking class for my husband’s birthday. Great date night! The food was amazing and you get to take the recipe home so you can wow your family and/or friends and make it at home. We would definitely like to come back and do it again with some friends! Thanks chef Craig!

My husband and I stumbled upon this amazing shop yesterday and it is absolutely amazing!!! We got some new popcorn spices we had never seen before! There are items from all around the world! Love how there is food, books, and cooking supplies!! Highly recommend stopping in here if you have a love for all things cooking!

Life savers, I made a huge paella for my family and guests (first time). Needless to say it was a raving success - no small part due to the help and ingredients I got when I visited the store!

I participated in the French cooking class and found it to be very unorganized and chaotic. Direction was given all at once then you were expected to return to your station and remember what was said, two groups forgot to add key ingredients to their dishes during the prep. There was a lot of food, too much actually as the class went on far too long. The food was very French and dishes I would not make at home except for the souffle, which I have made many times. The souffle we made last night was an embarrassment to the dish, very faintly tasted of chocolate and ended up being a dried lump. There were 4 of us and we all agreed that we did not enjoy this class.

My wife came down with Covid the morning of our pierogi making class, so we couldn't attend. They forfeited our purchase with no chance to book again. We had been holding on to the voucher for 3 years because they canceled our class twice during the lock downs. When my wife rebooked this time she had to cough up another $60 because of inflation, just to get Covid again and miss it. There goes $300. Don't book unless you know you won't be sick a week in advance! They won't accommodate you

Amazing Kid's Cooking Camp!I have been to amazing cooking classes at the Cookbook Co and found out they had a kids camp! So I signed my daughter up. It was fabulous and she loved it!In any other camp you have pack snacks and a lunch and with this camp, the kids brought food home! haha!Highly recommend! They made a lot of different food and even had some outdoor activities each day. This is a camp I would have totally loved to go to!

Calgary is so fortunate to have Cookbook Company! What a wonderful resource. Go for the locally made frozen meals, stay for the cool classes, go back for the “yum box” or the weekend meals to pick up!

The cooking classes here are a group cooking experience, even though they were advertised as "a couple's night out."I took my girlfriend for her birthday, expecting it to be a hands on, couple's experience. We ended up being in a group with 3 other people, who took over most of the cooking. We didn't get to do much, and we were confused many times as to where things were, and what was the next step.It's not a very hands on, intimate cooking class. The food was good and the instructor was very friendly, but it isn't what we were expecting from the descriptions.I wouldn't go again or recommend it.

We had an excellent time at the couples cooking class here. The meal we made was fantastic, and it’s something me and my partner have made again since, because it’s so easy to make and delicious.The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because it felt a little unorganized and chaotic, which is something we’ve read in the other reviews as well. The chef and the helpers are all very helpful and friendly, but our one advice to make it better would be to make it more clear how it’s best to divy up the work. It was very confusing to know who should do what and what part of the meal we should start with, and how to time it with others.Other then that, great place, and we brought home some yummy treats from their store.

Would not recommend purchasing a gift card for anyone here. Father purchased a two part course for me here and despite being a considerable time away they would not refund him his money.
