The worst location in Calgary. It’s very understaffed. And the stuff that is responsible for the drywall section is awful. Wouldn’t help to load drywalls on the cart. Would just help other customers and pretending that they don’t notice the customer

Terrible customer service! I'm a general contractor and I go to and spend lots of money at Home Depot. I was looking to buy another flexvolt dewalt mitre saw locally and their store was pretty much the only one in Calgary that had stock of it. They showed a stock of 3 so I went to buy one. I ask someone to help me locate one, because the item isn't in a stock location so no one knows where it is. She finds one and proceeded to look for someone with a lift to help. I get told that he's on lunch and to wait a half an hour. Okay fine - I can do that. I hang around the store for 30 minutes and come back. The saw they pulled down has very obviously been torn open and taped shut again. I requested another one since all 3 were in sight and they chose the worst one of them. They said it'll be another half an hour. I come back an hour later and the saw still hasn't been taken down yet. They begin to tell me that they can't find someone to take it down and it'll be another half hour AGAIN. I start to lose my patience at this point and tell them they need to get it down asap. Finally they take one down after another 10-15 minutes so I go to check out. After all of this the manager very rudely refuses to price match to a store in Ontario (I'm originally from Toronto and used to shop there) and wouldn't show me where it says in their policy they won't match it (I had it pulled up on my phone). I have done this numerous times and at numerous locations and no one has given me any problems - especially not with an attitude. Last month I spent $7000 at Home Depot alone. These guys need to figure their staffing out or I'm going to just take my business to Lowe's instead.

I was treated like a criminal by security personnel for trying to exchange a tool I had purchased earlier today for an even more expensive one. Is The Home Depot serious? Now you treat your customers like thieves? Total lack of judgment, tact and education, from their disastrous and arrogant security personnel. Totally different from customer service staff.

I just had a terrible experience today at Home Depot. I came down to buy a ladder. Online it says they have 21 in stock so I asked one of the crew member to help me find it. Took 10-15 minutes before someone came in to help me. His name is Steve. He went and looked where I looked and said oh sorry we don't have it in stock. I asked him to double check because I am certain of what I saw online. There's 21 ladders in stock in the Marlborough location. I looked around and found it myself. I pointed the ladder in the top shelf and he said oh sorry I didn't see it. He then told me that it will take him 20-30 minutes to get it down. So I said, no problem. I can come back after half an hour coz I have to go to costco and grab some stuff. After half an hour, I came back to collect the ladder. Turned out it he didn't put it down and didn't get it ready for me. He then said oh I'm sorry I was not able to do it. I was so furious. What a waste of my time!!! Out of respect for the older guy, I just said forget about it and left the store. But I was boiling in anger. I wasn't being a difficult customer. I understood that he needs more time to put it down. I gave him time but he just didn't do his job. Worst customer service ever!! I have nothing against elderly people working in stores but you are getting paid to do your job. In return, do your job properly.

Dropped by to pick up a few bits that I was asked to bring home to Ireland. The staff were extremely helpful and went out of their way to guide me without even asking and I got everything I went in for.

I needed help with a leaky valve and Don from plumbing fixed my valve on the spot even though he seemed busy at that time. Didn't even ask for anything in return!

I've tried getting paint matches at paint stores only to have them hum and haw, tell me the piece that I brought in to match isn't big enough all the excuses. These are supposed to be the paint experts. At Home Depot they always take what I give them and end up with great results. Today I was at the 36 St NE location, Angie and Patricia where awesome! The pieces I gave them weren't the best but they said that they could work with it and had me out of there in 5-10minutes with a great paint match!

Never Again. I used to be a fan of Home Depot. Now, not so much. This one was one of the worst. Had a bunch of things I needed so drove the 1.2 Hours into Calgary, got there, walked up to the door and realized I then had to walk back out to the parking lot to get a cart. Had a list of 12 items, found 3, the store "associates" standing around all over the place yet not one single person asked if I need help finding anything. Store organization was a mess, isles blocked by pallets with no one unloading them. One of the items I was looking for was a simple pre-cut 4x4 inch wood square with a bit of a bevel. They had them, for $18.93 each!! Thanks but not a chance. Found exactly what I needed at Michael's for $1.99.Today, (the day after being there) I opened up one of the only items I could actually find there, a tube of "No More Nails" construction adhesive. It's useless, so hard and dry it won't even come out of the tube. So not only was it a waste of time to go into town to go there, they more or less ripped me off too. Will never be back to this joke of a store.

I had a very bad experience here. I bought some concrete bags and they said they will assist me for loading in 5 minutes but took over 1 and half hour and then they gave it to me. I talked to the manager but he was not paying attention at all and said that I will "send someone". I have a pro extra ID and are a old customer probably gave them like 10,000 dollars total. August 13 2023.

James, the manager, was very understanding to my situation. He helped a long time customer, myself, with an issue I was facing in the rental department. His kindness and professionalism in how he dealt with us makes me want to make their store the main place I go to for all my shopping needs! Thanks Home Depot!-Blessed Curbs

Zero customer service at rental center, the guy I think his name was Shane was rude to me. I asked him a question about rental then he was like this is this , you want to rent or no. The customer doesn't know how to use your tools, the employees should help customer how to use the tools instead of being rude.
