We rented a car, but no one was waited in the airport at the time of the pickup, although we confirmed with them that someone will be there. Stay away from this company!

I rented a Chrysler Pacifica, and right away I experienced major problems.
It was in need of an oil change, the indicator displayed a 0% oil life, causing the van to drive rough
The defrost wasn't working, which isn't ideal in -25c Calgary. When I went to report this, it was at 1205am upon return and the thrift desk (which was staffed) said that no one was available to address my concerns. Even though there were 2 staff members AT THE DESK.
Save your money, go with enterprise. This was my FIRST and LAST with thrifty.

Put me in a car that the dash lit up like a Christmas tree, putting my family and I in an unsafe vehicle . 2nd car had mechanical problems. 3 cars in 24 hours ruined our weekend, so putting us at risk and ruining our weekend is only worth a $50 credit towards our next rental. You really think I'm coming back?

I should have checked the rating before booking through Expedia! Their pos machine would not accept either of our credit cards. They couldn’t run it through manually because they said their system does not allow it.
After wasting a half hour trying to work it out… as I had already paid for the rental, they just needed the security deposit …my husband walked to budget (1 kiosk over) and rented a car within 4 minutes.
Expedia cannot credit me for the prepayment as the car rental place has not returned their requests to cancel and refund the booking.
Worst car rental experience at an airport I’ve had. They were no help at all.

If you can....RUN...make sure you have windsheild insurance lots of rocks on the road. Make sure you get your deposit back at the counter cause youll never going to see it again...GOOD LUCK COWBOY MAKE SURE YOUR GUN IS LOADED AND READY TO FIRE

If I could I would give them a ZERO! I rented their 'Managers Special" which was a Toyota Tacoma. I only rented it for 7 hours. In that time it left me stranded at one of my appointments. They called a tow truck to come get the vehicle and I was left to take a cab to get back to the airport where I rented the vehicle from BUT they decided that it was proper to still charge me for the rental and leave me to pay the alternate transportation on my own. Stay away from this company. There is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE.
I will now add to this review as I am sitting on hold waiting to find out why they have now decided to charge me an additional $250 on a rental that broke down on me.
AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST!
Now at the end of the day they are charging me for a tow on a vehicle that would not drive but can reduce the charge on my card hmmmm!!

Excellent experience renting through Thrifty. Pick up was easy and convenient considering they had to wait for me. The hyundai elantra ran great no issues and had all the cool safety features and sport mode. And drop off was flawless. Deposit was returned instantly. Will use Thrifty again. Seen

Zee was so helpful! Our reservation at another car rental place was denied last minute due to an international payment issue. Zee saved our trip! We were able to get a car for cheaper than the one we originally booked and with better roadside assistance! He was so kind and helpful. Thank you ZEE!
