“I love going to this store and seeing all the unique items they have. Everything is so beautiful and there's so many great gift ideas, along with beautiful handmade cards and gift bags. I love the selection of jewelry, clothes, coffee/tea, books and toys. I have purchased several gifts here as well as things for myself that I absolutely love, including a meditation cushion and a few lovely pairs of earrings. Definitely go visit this amazing shop!”

If you want the popular items only, this place may or may not have them, but if you want the good ones, this place probably has those too, when the well picked over mega stores do not.
Saw everything from good board games, to puzzles, k'nex, Lego, and much much more in store. Friendly staff, very accommodating, and felt welcoming to be in.”

“We couldn't be happier with our fun toy toys, we have a UTV, and we bought extra batteries for extended fun! We bought the new 48v quad, this thing is powerful, big and little enjoy it! Their service is above and beyond. Their price is very good, when you consider service and quality, it won't be beat! We will be back again for a future purchase! AND they sell parts, so I'd anything breaks its always fixable. This way, your toy will last for many years! You won't get that with cheap Costco, toys r us or any other places!”

“Customer service here was excellent. They helped me activate my account online and then I came in the next day and bought more legos! lol I really enjoy collecting the Star Wars merchandise. Especially the large characters. I picked up Wicket the Ewok this visit and then Soundwave from Transformers. They were giving out free merchandise with your purchase. The more you spent the more they gave you. I am a huge Lego fan so I have visited almost every large store. This is a small one but the customer service was excellent.Great job everyone!”

“We came here after failing to find some items ar Dollarama. I knew to come here as the last time we needed something that Dollarama didn't carry, we found it at another Buck or Two..The store is clean and bright with plenty of room between aisles. Upon entering, we inquired about a cake cutter, and the staff member pointed us in the right direction.Beyond what we found, we inquired about helium, and they showed us the price list. It's good to know that we can still get helium here!”

I’m updating my review from 2 stars to 4 stars because credit where credit is due — the team here has clearly worked hard to make this a better experience overall. The store is more organized, the process feels smoother, and interactions have improved compared to the past.
I’ll be upfront about how I use Once Upon A Child: I primarily bring items my kids have outgrown that are still in great shape, and things I don’t have the time or energy to sell myself. For that purpose, this place is useful.
That said, it’s important to proceed with realistic expectations. Even if you bring in brand-new items with tags and a receipt, you should not expect a meaningful return. Those $100 sneakers you grabbed early on sale for your child? You’ll likely still be offered $2–$4. That’s just the model — not a reflection of condition or original value.
Over time, we’ve made it our tradition to work with Once Upon A Child and Goodwill together — selling what makes sense and donating or recycling the rest. It feels good to keep items out of the landfill and pass them along to other families who can use them.
Use this store wisely, and it can absolutely be part of a practical, feel-good system. Overall, real improvement, and I appreciate the effort that’s gone into making it better.”

They have a large selection when it comes to children’s toys etc. Clearly some people in the reviews don’t understand how consignment or even how to read a simple contract works but I’ve had an amazing experience!
