I bought some Christmas stockings online for my family during the Black Friday sales on November 28, with an estimated delivery date of December 6. When December 6 came and went, the estimate window was then changed to December 12-23. I was frustrated, but relieved that they would still be here before Christmas. As today is the 23, I checked my tracking this morning and the estimated has now changed to December 24-January 2. This is completely unacceptable. If I had known these items wouldn’t arrive by Christmas, I never would have purchased them in the first place.
Update: they arrived January 2. What a joke

Do not shop here. Go to Crate and Barrel instead. The furniture looks great online but is not great quality or comfortable to sit on. If you tell the staff that you didn't like something then it will be because you are just too tall etc etc. They also do not honour pricing. What a complete waste of an afternoon.

Horrible experience, my order took 5 months delivered, broken parts, missing part, paid white gloves service but the box sitting in front of your door! Unbelievable

The staff were incredibly nice and helpful. I'm a new mom who lives in a small town. I was super flustered with downtown Calgary driving.
When I came to pick up an order. I didn't catch her name but a lady with dark blonde hair and glasses went above and beyond to help me figure out the parking and go to the right spot to get my order. Thank you, your kindness and time meant a lot to me.

idk but the store just doesn’t feel the same! I loved shopping west elm 2015 - 2020 and had great in store experiences in both Montreal and Calgary. The store vibe just feels off now - it used to have more of the fun items but now it’s super furniture based. I loved the furniture & own some but the entire store doesn’t need to be focused on this… the ladies in store helping were super kind so zero complaints about customer service! Just doesn’t feel like the old west elm 🫠

Beautiful assortment of home goods! I loved the simple warehouse-style layout of the store, it really highlighted the items without overwhelming them with fancy décor. It made it easy to imagine how everything would look in my own home.
From dishes and linens to furniture, every piece complemented the others perfectly, which made it simple to select items that go well together. The overall style was cohesive and inspiring.
The staff was knowledgeable, approachable, and helpful without being pushy, which made for a relaxed and enjoyable shopping experience.
A wonderful store to find high-quality, stylish pieces that fit seamlessly into any home.

If I didn’t have to give a star I wouldn’t as it’s not even worth giving a star as nothing has been great dealing with them!
Ordered a crib online, said it would it a couple weeks. I was willing to wait that period of time. Then the next day or so after I order it I receive an email saying it has been delayed and now I won’t receive until the beginning of December!!! That is unacceptable, what am I suppose to use now while I wait? Buy something else in the meantime while I wait? Now I would have to spend double. Not willing to do that!
So I call asking to get my order cancelled and get a refund. They make it sound like it should work and then I receive an email saying they can’t cancel it and won’t give the refund.
In the meantime I have received yet another email saying my order is delayed yet again till the end of December!!
If an order keeps getting delayed then it should be easy to get a refund!
I will continue to fight this as this is horrible customer service and I will never buy there again and I will also be telling others as this is just unacceptable.
One of the worst places ever!!

I Love the store in Calgary, displays and merchandise look amazing. It was my first experience with furniture.I ordered 2 pieces of furniture that took months after expected delivery dates to arrive. Customer service line in States is rude and come up with bogus reasons. Extra fees were charged on my card and services I never ask for were added. My order number stopped working and tracking was not even possible after a while. Errors with postal code, phone number needed to be corrected more that once. Fortunately, manager and assistant in Calgary provided me the much needed support. Also, careful, the instruction to assemble furniture is bad and modifications were needed.

Love West Elm!
The store is beautiful, friendly staff and the merchandise is good quality and well priced. I have made numerous decor purchases as well as furniture. One of my favorite places to shop. : )

This review is not for the West Elm store in Calgary, AB. The website doesn't allow any reviews, so I am sharing it here.
I had a very bad experience with their Silky TENCEL™ Sheet Set I ordered a couple months ago. The color faded away after the first wash and some spots lost more color, making the bedsheets look very ugly. They didn't even retain their silk touch. I followed the wash (care) instructions to the T but still ended with that result. Poor quality. Not worth the price at all.

I had a product sent and installed by West Elm that turned out to be a lemon with missing parts however I was not informed that the product was faulty upon assembly. When I recognized the issue and called there was zero support provided stating “nothing was documented by our team”. The first West Elm contact I called hung up on me. The second time I called the contact provided no compensation and directed me to spend more money to have the issue fixed out of my pocket. Good luck to anyone that has to reach out to the West Elm customer support team.

I generally don't write reviews, it takes a lot to make me upset. This has by far been one of the worst purchasing experiences of my life.
TLDR: Don't shop at this store or any of the Williams Sonoma brands, great products but its not worth the headache to actually receive them.
Pros: Great ins-store customer service and design support. Good quality furniture and products.
Cons:
- Abysmal customer support that is not empowered nor care to solve problems
- Delivery timelines are a ballpark estimate at best and not one was even close
- Website can't effectively track order progress (delivered items still showed as waiting to ship)
- Product received with wrong sized part, couldn't assemble - solution was to wait 2.5 months for a replacement
- Delivery partner was authorized for multiple shipments but sat on goods for 4 weeks until I escalated multiple times
- Their systems are so bad they charged and refunded one of the products from my order nearly a dozen times (item was to be received in Dec 2024, it's Mar 18 2025 and still haven't got it)
- Customer support tried nothing to correct or address the situation, I had to advocate for everything I wanted and got very little
