Not a bad housing option
Pros: convenient location in the city center, very pleasant staff, no noise problems were noticed, except for the noise at the entrance (the front door is not soundproofed). There is a gym, a relaxation room and a common cinema room.
Of the minuses: strange wiring arrangement, no air conditioning or ventilation, problems with water pressure on the upper floors.
I didn’t notice any problems with the heating; I lived there in the summer.

Nice complex, new gym. The office staff is always friendly. Natalya is a great specialist in her field, she will always help and answer all your questions)
The complex itself is good for its price, comfortable and clean 👌🏻

I lived here from June 2023 to March 2024
The reception Natalia has always been nice to me and professional
However, the building is old despite renovations. You can’t control the heat system so you might burn in summers. No AC ofcourse
The maintenance guys did break into our apartment multiple times without permission, causing distress and fear in my family
There is always a dysfunctional Elevator
Fire alarms might goes off without reason in the floor, and they are extremely noisy
Good stuff: location, price and grocery store below

Do your due diligence folks. Google Century Gardens, their old name. Now they are changing it again to 8th and 8th. They charge it after every major disaster and complete collapse of building services.
There's new ownership and management now and I hear good things, but I lived there for years through multiple management and ownership changes and the pattern I saw was they splash out the insurance payout after a disaster and then coast, the building decays and finally there's an electrical fire or flood and everything collapses - and the cycle starts over.
Again, new ownership, new management, maybe they have broken that cycle
But I declined suite renovations that would justify almost doubling my rent and was therefore told that after sticking with the building through fire and flood I would not be allowed to renew my lease.
I live somewhere better now.

This building is a nightmare to live at! Awful heating system, you don't even get to control the temperature in your apartment!!!!! at nights it will be like 27 degrees IN THE F**KING WINTER! The LRT station is right across the building so don't even think about opening the window! (the maintenance people were quick to check the problem but their answer was that heating is central so there is nothing they can do)
Also, there is absolutely no ventilation! the apartment smells like the foods your neighbours are making!
And the parking situation is even worse!!!!!!!!!! Diamond parking manages the building parking and there is no daily option. So if you are having a guest they should pay the monthly price ($220 ish) for the few days they are staying and there is no alley parking. (there is a parking across the street tho, so that might work for you)
If you are considering this building, I'd say keep looking for other options.

Terrible house! Terrible living conditions! The stink coming through the ventilation from the neighbors! It stinks of everything from a variety of dishes to cannabis! There is no heating all winter, when the frost is -36, the apartment is 13-14 degrees Celsius! Constant problems with water, you can’t make your plans, you have to adapt to the plans of this house! Water cut off without warning! The terms of the lease are not met, we live without heating, but at the same time we pay for it! Problems with sockets and electricity, be prepared to come home and your refrigerator is turned off due to overvoltage! Don't move here if you don't want extra hemorrhoids!

The views were incredible, I lived on a quiet floor where I was able to focus on animation and graphic novels for portfolio work. The staff were the best, close to Safeway & Restaurants, a good place to live for someone goal/work oriented.

They will give you appointment for viewing, and when you show up on time. They will say they have nothing at this moment. It happened twice with me. Worst management.

NOTE: It is renamed to 825 apartments now. worst place to live in. no gym, no pool is working even after 6 months. Don't be fooled by this. And now when winters have started, heat is also not working in the building. WORST place to live in.

Heads up peeps. Westview Heights is not closed but has changed owners and building name. New name is District. BEWARE of this building!!! You will get stuck in the elevators, you will deal with extreme heat in your unit during summer months and some units will be very cold in winter. The building is disgustingly dirty and they will blame it on the never ending construction but the reality is years of neglect on this building. The staff don't care about the tenants at all! You will deal with a lot of water leaks and burst pipes and they will try to get you to pay for all the damage through your insurance, which is mandatory to live here. They will find a way to blame you for the burst pipes if it happens in your unit but it is their thin pipes that are bursting and they do nothing about it. There is so much more....this building is not fit to live in and needs to be shut down completely. DO NOT rent here, all reviews posted for many years now, are 100% accurate.

The New management is poor as well. Don’t see the prices before moving in to the place. You will regret your life after you move in and get emails about daily shutting down of elevators and waters. Property Manager is the most unprofessional person I have ever met in life. She is so busy that she needs an appointment to talk to while she is talking on phone with someone in her office on work hours. They will put unnecessary charges on your account and take money from all way possible

Living at Westview Heights has been overshadowed by the property manager, Melanie's, unprofessional and dismissive behavior. Her inability to address tenant concerns with empathy, fairness, and due diligence has led to increased frustration among residents. Her poor communication skills and apparent lack of concern for tenant well-being have significantly impacted the living experience. This, along with ongoing building issues such as frequent elevator shutdowns, requiring us to climb 27 flights of stairs, and bi-weekly water shutdowns, has made life at Westview Heights challenging. Tenants have been unfairly accused of wrongdoings without proper investigation, further highlighting Property Manager's inadequacy in her role.We are finally moving out and would advise anyone considering moving in to think carefully and weigh the pros and cons before making a decision. It's disheartening to see such mismanagement, and we hope for improvements in the future to foster a better living environment for current and future residents.

This might be worst place to rent. Staff is rude and they are very negligent. I do not recommend renting here
