“What an amazing little pharmacy! I love the personal care provided by Gourlays in Canmore. I just had my prescriptions moved to this pharmacy and all the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. I didn’t have to do a thing to have my prescriptions moved over, they did everything AND filled my refills so I could pick them up when I was in for a travel consult. I love that they are really a part of the community and was convinced to switch to them after attending their friendly and inclusive community BBQ Aug 30, 2026. It was a really nice event with welcoming staff, raffles, community, live local music, face painting for kids, burgers, smokies and local Lovely ice cream.”

“We visited this store a few times while visiting Canmore/Banff. We went there to pick up snacks for our hikes, picked up deli and take-out items at the end of long day of hiking when you just want something quick and good to eat, without a hassle of restaurant. Wide variety of deli food, from sushi, poki, to soup and wings! Very happy with the selections!”

“During my short stay in Canmore, my friends and I visited this Safeway at least 4 times...we became a little obsessed. The parking lot view is absolutely breathtaking. You're completely surrounded by big beautiful mountains the minute you pull up and things just get better from here. This Safeway has anything you could ever want. Canadian candy, American candy, groceries, a water refill station, maple syrup and more. We met the nicest cashier who was practically our tour guide and gave us a fantastic hiking itinerary. Need Canadian money? Look no further because there's an atm here! I did a lot of amazing things while I'm Canada, but Safeway made it happen by providing fresh water, snacks, mountain views and great company along the way.”

“Oh goodness what a fabulous experience to go to Shoppers Drug Mart in Canmore, even on Thanksgiving, first thing in the morning. I was seen in 10 minutes. I was given excellent advice by a kind and knowledgeable prescribing pharmacist, with the two medications i needed for an infected wound. I had been to the hospital in Canmore twice and had to wait nearly three hours and almost four hours after both times i left, as there was no indication that I would be seen soon, just advised that they were busy! Shoppers is an excellent store, well stocked with both groceries, household needs and a fully stocked pharmacy and prescription dispensing, all the beauty and make-up lines, candy’s and greeting cards etc. I will be shopping at Shoppers in Canmore as my go to store especially as they have a seniors discount on Thursdays.”
