“This old-fashioned health food store has many Canadian vegan items including smoked tofu and tempeh, some vegan sweets from Hear Me Raw and Middle Sister’s Kitchen. They have some organic produce and organic pantry items like oatmeal and granola. They also have nuts and spices available in the bulk section. Updated from previous review on 2026-07-12”
“During my short stay in Canmore, my friends and I visited this Safeway at least 4 times...we became a little obsessed. The parking lot view is absolutely breathtaking. You're completely surrounded by big beautiful mountains the minute you pull up and things just get better from here. This Safeway has anything you could ever want. Canadian candy, American candy, groceries, a water refill station, maple syrup and more. We met the nicest cashier who was practically our tour guide and gave us a fantastic hiking itinerary. Need Canadian money? Look no further because there's an atm here! I did a lot of amazing things while I'm Canada, but Safeway made it happen by providing fresh water, snacks, mountain views and great company along the way.”
“Close to where I work so it's usually my go-to place for lunch. Great sandwiches, great fries, and the lady who works in the deli always knows my usual order!”
“This is a large and well stocked grocery store. The service is definitely lacking though. There is a brand new IGA as you get in Three Sisters. We'll be shopping there.”

“A totally unasuming spot that is perfect for an extra special grab-and-go meal. The breakfast sandwich was FANTASTIC. Great spot to load up on goodies for a picnic in one of the parks.”
