I always use Canadian Tire for anything regarding my car. Yesterday they installed my winters and because they only had one technician, it was about a 5 hour process and the young man (didn't catch his name) working in auto informed us he was going to deduct charges off the bill to make up for the wait. It was nice that they recognized things and wanted to make it right.

I messed up and lost some paperwork and Vivian at the service desk saved my bacon. She also got me in for needed work as soon as possible. Good customer service at this Canadian Tire and great selection of products

The people at the desk were very professional, the young man helping me was doing a great job helping me out.2 stars because I booked an appointment to have my Tire installed two weeks prior to the date and drove three hours to this location for my tires only to be told my appointment time really doesn't mean anything, they get to my truck when they get to it because of how busy they are this time of year. I wish I knew that before driving because I wouldn't have come or come the next day when they could get to my truck.

We ordered winter tires in ths location including the rims. When we picked it up the rims were not incuded and they wanted to charge as again if we want the rims. Also, whem my son went out, his bag was searched thoroughly as if he stole something. Nothing was found. We will never go to this branch ever again.

Recently had a vehicle in for an insurance inspection and was my first time and last time using the service department here. The quote came in at just under 1800.00$ for inner and outer tie rod ends, a replacement drivers mirror(completely manual mirror) and 6 bulbs. 4 in the headlight units and 2 license plates bulbs. Tie rods and alignment totalled 950$ of that bill. The mirror and install roughly 150$. The balance was to change the bulbs. The 4 bulbs in the headlight units were quoted at .8 hours each, 132$ based on the 165$ shop rate. Total for those 4 bulbs 528$ in labour for a job I did myself without any tools whatsoever in 10 mins for all 4 bulbs. Granted all mechanic shops use the Chilton guide to quote all work based on the guides recommended times. However in my opinion any self respecting independent shop would not take advantage of their customers in such a ridiculous manner. If you choose to have your mechanical work done by Canadian Tire Cochrane review very carefully the quotes they provide. I can’t be the only person who has been quoted outrageous amounts for some work.

Okay, so the store itself is good. Friendly employees and a good selection of stuff. That being said, my husband came in to get my car inspected out of province. It failed and needed something on the brakes fixed and a new windshield. The employee that helped him told him that they could fix the brakes and if my husband made an appointment for the windshield that day, they’d reinspect it for free if we come in on a day that he worked. We waited for weeks and called for this specific employee multiple times and each time, he wasn’t in. Yesterday, we called one last time and they said he still wasn’t in and so we asked if he had been fired or something and the reply we got was “he no longer works here.”Because he no longer worked there, apparently the inspection needed to be redone and paid for again. We ended up going to a different place for it but it seems unfair that we were promised a free reinspection. Idk if that’s normal or if this employee promised us something that he wasn’t supposed to be promising, but it would be good to get all of the employees on the same page about that in the future.Update:So this place screwed up my car. We had to do another inspection at a different place and this place found almost 2 grand worth of problems that Canadian tire missed, and part of it was something that Canadian tire messed up during the first inspection….

Best Cdn Tire have been in. They had a knowledgable greeter at the entrance to help you find your items. He told me the aisle # I should head to.The cashier was quick and positive.I will be back, and avoid the store closer to my home!

Will never ever be back. Learn how to be consistent with your "backpack policy". You had the sign up saying to check bags in at customer service for years. You recently took it down. The signs now say "we reserve the right to inspect bags/backpacks." I asked last time I entered, "Do I need to check this in?" To which I was told, "Nope! We don't do that anymore. Thanks for asking though."Today I got chased down and was told I "walked right past the sign,"; WHAT SIGN? Good riddance.

I had four things to purchase, two were unavailable at my home store in Canmore so I drove to Cochrane. I was impressed with two things about this store; 1. The numbered aisles and 2. Accurate online inventory. I marked down the locations of all my purchases, and noted the inventory levels. They were all bang on. After my purchase I rechecked and inventory was updated. The store was busy yet quiet and calm, and it was very clean. In fact, a kid riding a Zamboni type floor washer made a pass as I entered, leaving me a sparkling clean path. And I forget her name, but according to the receipt she is known as Operator # 83 and she is delightful and helpful as well as efficient. So yeah, I give them five stars and two thumbs up**I wish I lived near a nuclear power plant so I could give more than two thumbs up. Well done, Canadian Tire Cochrane!

Tire department is a complete embarrassment to professional tire shops anywhere. They don't know the difference between a Highway tire and an offroad tire.

I really love this location Canadian Tire! It's like a Canadian Tire superstore!I didn't get a chance to go through the entire store, but what I saw, I liked! It's clean, has ample aisles to shop, and seems to carry everything.I was drawn in by the very impressive and robust Garden centre. Tons of healthy plants and trees and really great prices. It's worth the drive to visit this store!

Last month, brought a truck tire/rim with screw puncture in center of tread in to be repaired to the Cochrane Canadian Tire store. Was informed the tire would be ready the next morning. Later the next day (mid-day), needed to call to find out status of tire and when I could pick up. Was informed that tire could not be repaired as "the hole was too big and that the screw had done damage that could not be patched/plugged". Was then informed I could purchase 4 new tires........ I usually drive +60,000 km's per year and have had plenty of experience with tire flats and have never experienced a tire that could not be repaired with the puncture located away from the sidewall. I took the tire to Kal Tire in Cochrane. They promptly investigated and were able to plug/patch the tire. They informed me, "They used the wrong size plug for the repair". I will never set foot in this store again. Very disappointed with the effort displayed and the insistence that I needed to purchase new tires at a cost of exceeding $1,500.......??? Did receive a call approximately 2 hours after contacting them to tell me the tire could not be repaired and for the second time, that I could purchase new tires if I so desired. J.S.
