….. Where to begin, I unfortunately got trusted planning the day of our dreams as my better half was doing her masters program while working. First of all you don’t know me but I’ll admit I’m not the easiest to deal with and I’m learning, I tend to become very blunt and honest when hiccups occur. First of all I need to apologize to Antonia and Helena as little did I know august 15/16th would become days that you can only dream of! The moment we pulled up the day before our wedding to the moment we left I have no words. Don’t think I’ve come across two amazing individuals of when it’s go time they won’t settle for anything less then perfection and that word never existed in my dictionary before that day and never will again for after but for those two days (tear eye). My wife me my friends and family will never be able to thank you all enough for what you and your amazing team did for us that weekend. From Spencer and Cassidy and the people they had working with them in the back end and setting up and to giving my uncle a hard time! I thank you Cassidy for that haha! To Aeron and his amazing team of chefs he gets to work with your food and presentation and delivery truly was remarkable! I truly cant thank all of you enough for making the day and weekend that special for my wife and all our guests!! You guys truly made me feel like more then just a construction worker and it meant the world.
All I can say is I know it might be a bit much for some but it’s worth it. We’ll be going back every couple years on our anniversary date for sure!

Beautiful setting and we had excellent staff and service. We were treated to a tour of the area by a gracious staff member on a Polaris all terrain vehicle. There are many beautiful areas for fire pit fun by the river and warm inviting fireplaces throughout the country inn feeling. The breakfasts were tasty. The dinner option was disappointing. The access to great coffee at all times was a perk. The rooms were very small and overall the weekend experience very pricey. ,

There are so many wonderful happenings from my weekend at your venue and I will give you my top ten beginning with the very best:
1. The food at the wedding reception was beyond belief: vegetables done and served were perfect and the asparagus the best I have ever had. The beef and I don’t usually eat beef, was so delicious I for the first time in my long life went back for seconds.
2. Parking. It was so easy to find a spot and park close to the activities. In Calgary parking has become a high blood pressure item and not only did I just pull in and park but spotted my best friend within ten steps.
3. Bottles of water, fancy coffee and special teas available for our use all the time at no extra costs.
4. The old buildings: especially the main house where I slept. I felt like I was back at my grandparents home and I totally loved my room. It was a busy time so sleep at a minimum but when grabbing a few minutes it was private and rewarding.
5. People: all I need to say is excellent staff and they are worth their weight in gold!
6. Caring attitude: very few places have so many staff who genuinely care about their guests and everyone I interacted with truly made sure I was totally looked after: a tremendous loving and caring environment. I am a psychologist and you restored my faith in human nature.
7. Cleanliness: a spotless environment and to provide blankets for a cool afternoon was a nice addition.
8. Expectations: one goes there with hotel expectations and leaves with the feeling of leaving one’s home. Don’t know exactly how you have created this but you have and it is wonderful.
9. Providing staff and shuttle buses. I love walking but found myself grabbing a ride every chance I got. Another very thoughtful addition to your service.
10 and final thought: totally the best place to visit in all aspects: if one needs a break from city living my advice would be book in for a few days and restore your mental health. I have been all over the world and to find in my own back yard your relaxing environment is truly a surprise and a very nice reward for working diligently.
Thank you!

The entire experience was outstanding. My wife and I enjoyed a quiet getaway in the mountains where we could unwind and enjoy our time together. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous and always around when needed ensuring we wanted for nothing. The grounds were very well kept and the riverside area was especially breathtaking. We would highly recommend The Crossing to anyone.

Beautiful and rustic B&B located close enough to Calgary that it's easy to get to, but far enough away that you really feel like you're on vacation. No noise except for the rushing river and the birds. Gorgeous walking paths and river access. Food is homemade and delicious. Highly recommend for a wonderful weekend stay-cation.

Top-notch escape very close to Calgary with amazing amenities. I’m surprised more folks from Calgary aren’t coming out here to decompress and experience nature and hospitality all at once. We delivered a mobile sauna to this location and worked closely with Liam and Steve. They both took guest experience very seriously and were pleasant to work with. We hope to continue visiting The Crossing again and again!

Always satisfied with this location. Thank you for the Hospitality and for being so welcoming to the participants like myself that attend for Wounded Warriors Canada programs.

Was very excited to plan something here, but after quick responses initially, we received nothing for over a week while I was trying to plan an elopement asap. I sent two emails with no response. If you need quicker communication I’d consider elsewhere. Every other company we’ve reached out to was very quick to start planning something regarding any part of our wedding.

We had our wedding at the Crossing and it was absolutely perfect! The property is beautiful and provided a number of stunning backdrops for our various events and photos.
The food was delicious. Everyone raved about it and the staff was so friendly and helpful. We had the resort to ourselves and everyone felt comfortable leaving their rooms unlocked. We even forgot the card box in the reception area overnight and had zero concerns about anything going missing.
All in all it was the perfect wedding and our guests had an amazing time. Thank you to Rob and everyone at the Crossing!

My wife and 6 year old recently stayed at the Crossing and it was an outstanding experience. The staff were exceptional—warm, welcoming, and attentive. The food was locally sourced and delicious, and had a variety of options that were even able to satisfy a very particular 6 year old palate ;) The hotel is perfect for both families and couples, offering something for everyone. Set against the beautiful backdrop of the Alberta foothills, in the Ghost River valley, the surroundings were truly picturesque. We are already looking forward to returning for another wonderful stay!

Wonderful stay. My husband and I booked a last minute stay as a mini getaway and were very pleased that we did. The staff are all so friendly and incredibly attentive. The food was great and location on the river was perfect for relaxing outside between meals! We felt that the crossing staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable and comfortable.

Reading the other reviews on this page leaves me confused as our experience as a couple was the complete opposite. We arrived to very friendly staff, but were then brought upstairs to a room which was very very tiny, and there was a door leading to the room adjacent to us, which they tried to hide with a dresser. You could literally hear whispers from the people on the other side of the wall, absolutely no privacy. We then asked to be moved to a different room which they accommodated. The second room was even smaller than the first, no AC, and just felt beyond stuffy and crammed. The food was also so terrible. Super low quality, and was cold even though we were right on time for dinner.
I can see the potential of this place, but only if you were a part of an event or retreat. I think allowing people to book this as a private reservation for travel is a mistake. It was awkward and uncomfortable. The price was simply too high for what you are given. Will definitely not be coming back.
