“Always the cheapest place for gas. Just one FYI, if you want to pay with debit card, you can do any amount. However, if you use your credit card, it must have at least $200 to authorize on it to be able to fuel up, even if you only need $50 in gas! Otherwise, busy but the lines move quickly.”

“As a business owner I am here alot. Although it can be extremely busy, the staff at the gas pumps are always working hard to keep the lines moving swiftly. The one guy called Paschal is always there with a positive attitude and a friendly greeting and is happy to help if you need assistance. Also the lady working there is very helpful and kind.
People seem to bombard the gas station at closing time and Ive witnessed them be very accommodating to try to get everyone through, even staying late to finish the line. Overall very pleased with my experience at this location.”

“I go here once in a while for a quick splash and dash carwash.
However,on my last visit I bought gas and purchased a carwash at the pump.
I drove up to the carwash building and when I went to enter the code it was blanked out. I took the escape lane out of there and went into the store. The young lady at the counter gave me a valid code but told me the carwash wasn't working on that day anyway.
There wasn't anything she could do about that but I think there should have been a sign or notice at the pump about the fact that the carwash wasn't working.
Nevertheless, I ended up at another carwash a few kilometers away.
I am just on my way back to the Esso carwash to use the code before it expires.”
“What a lovely store. The staff is warm and welcoming, super knowledgeable and efficient. Great selection of groceries and ready to eat food, I’m blown away by how many thoughtful and convenient items are in stock (lemons, tomato paste, toiletries, cleaning products etc) literally they have everything you can imagine to make downtown living easier!
the coffee is amazing as well. Fresh ground and seriously good quality!”

“Was in Edmonton a few days ago close by the Co-op gas bar and was very impressed by the friendly staff, the store was very clean and stocked very well. Also the outside grounds were well maintained and clean. Koodos to the manager and staff.”
“Great station with a clean convenience store. My only complaint is that the pump printers are sometimes out of paper, so you have to walk inside for a receipt. Not ideal in the cold weather, but otherwise a solid place to fill up.”

“This gas station is alright. A lot of homeless people tend to flock to it though for some reason. I even saw someone I know walking by there homeless the other day. This isn't the gas station's fault. I prefer Esso. The prices are usually competitive at most Esso stations.”

“Even with a new gas station across the street, I still come to this Esso & Smart Stop for the easy access off 149th and quick in-and-out service. I fuel up, grab lotto tickets, and sometimes hit the car wash. Did so today and love that it’s now tap-to-pay—no more tokens or paper slips. Not sure how many car wash locations in the city still have tokens or paper code entry, honestly? Tappy makes me happy. ?”

“when a power outage hit our neighborhood, all of our local/nearby gas stations were affected and closed for a short period of time. My husband and I had to charge our electronics late into the night and we needed gas for our SUV so we found our way to this location. the staff were friendly and didnt mind that we were parked on their lot for over an hour. they have a fully stocked convenience store with great promotions on canned drinks and little snacks. 10/10 we will be back.”

“This is a couple years too late as I read that ownership changed since 2016.. anyways back in the summer of 2016 I accidentally locked my keys (and all belongings) in the car and had never done so before! I had no idea what to do or who to call, the manager or owner helped me out so much and was super understanding on the wait time I had to deal with for the lock guy to come as it was a super busy day I guess. She was the loveliest lady ever and I wish she could read this as a sincere thank you again, as it’s now 2018 and yet I still remember her kind, helping ways! She helped me out so much without thinking twice. The world needs more people like her.”
