The only good thing this bank is good for, is warming up homeless people. However I do enjoy the beautiful original architecture.

when the hours online and on the door state your open till 5pm, why would you not be open until 5pm? Showed up at 445 on a Friday and they had already closed the branch. The tellers were all still inside and talked to me but stated they were closed (it was not 5pm yet…)This branch is a joke and apparently the rest of the town agrees ?

This branch is an absolute joke. Middle of the day and they have no tellars available. Some random Employee standing guard so no one can get in. Def reporting this branch to CIBC corp. CD

For the past few years since living in High River, going into this particular CIBC branch has been a mixed bag as far as customer service goes. But nothing compares to a recent experience my mom and I had going in to see the current bank manager, Del Adeyemi. The man was so rude and unprofessional, I'm still wrapping my head around it. He was unwelcoming from the start, and became increasingly aggressive as the meeting went on. He had already cut me off and talked over me a couple times by the time he decided it was ok to raise his voice at us, tell me he didn't appreciate my tone (because I brought up the bank's recent fee increases), and that I wasn't even his client (technically I was there on my mother's behalf because of something she needed assistance with, not me in particular, but I've been a CIBC client for almost 20 years, along with every other member of my family). My mom and I were pretty shook up by the experience, and I'm just glad his hostile manner was directed mostly at me, not so much her--although he certainly showed her no kindness either. I've heard there's a high turnover at this branch, and right now I hope that's true, because the people of this town who bank at CIBC deserve better.

I had what was called an 'Account Takeover' on my debit card and was robbed a large sum of money. While I was eventually refunded this money, the overall process was very complicated and I was not very re-assured throughout. I was told I could use my debit card, but if something were to happen to my money again, I would be liable. Instead, they told me to use my VISA, which is not what I wanted to do and defeats the purpose. They recommend I get a whole new account number, so when I went to book an appointment they told me they were "booked solid for the next month," and suggested I visit a branch in Nanton, Okotoks, or Calgary. After about 3 weeks, they were able to "fit me in," and 45 minutes into the appointment, their system crashed and I had to sort out all my banking issues at a branch downtown Calgary because that was the only place that could help me. I unfortunately cannot recall one person at this branch that was able to help me out, as they seemed to all give me different answers, and some even appeared to be annoyed with me. I have been banking with High River CIBC since 2007, and was tempted to take my money and switch banks at this point. It is sorted now, but if something like this is to ever happen again to me, I am just taking my business elsewhere as opposed to going through this unnecessary month-long process again.
