This Sunday January 28th I had an unfortunate encounter with a female assistant manager at Costco in Okotoks that left me thoroughly disappointed with the level of customer service provided. As a loyal customer who has consistently enjoyed the benefits of shopping at Costco, this experience has left a lasting negative impression. At check out, I encountered a situation that required assistance, and I sought help from the assistant manager on duty. Unfortunately, instead of receiving the expected support and professionalism, I was met with a dismissive attitude and a lack of willingness to address my concerns. The assistant manager seemed disinterested and unapproachable, offering minimal assistance without any genuine effort to resolve the issue. This lack of customer-centric approach was not only surprising but also disappointing. Moreover, the assistant manager displayed a lack of empathy and failed to communicate effectively. It felt as though my concerns were not taken seriously, and I left the store with the impression that customer satisfaction was not a priority for this particular staff member.I believe that effective communication and a commitment to customer service are crucial elements in any retail environment, and unfortunately, this assistant manager fell short in both aspects. As a result, my overall shopping experience was marred, and I am left contemplating whether to continue my patronage at Costco in the future.I hope that Costco management takes this feedback seriously and considers implementing additional training or addressing any issues that may be affecting the customer service standards at the store. It is my sincere hope that others do not have to endure a similar experience and that improvements are made to ensure a more positive and customer-focused shopping environment at Costco.

The customer service here has to be the worst most ignorant I have ever had. I went to pickup a card but was denied. My wife and I are in the middle of a move and our current address does not match what is on our Id. When my wife went earlier this was no problem she showed I'd to prove who she was. The counter staff processed her card. I tried to explain this but was rudely told to calm down when i tried to ask a question in regards to this situation. her co worker was equally rude or worse. I had all my teeth removed so was really struggling to even talk and even tried to tell her this in response to her comment. This worker did not care and passed me the contract told me read it and return with what's required. I have been a member for many years and never been threader or talked anything close to this. I did say what an ass when leaving

Checking peoples Costco card 4 times a visit is ridiculous. We're not all criminals. Do it once at the door when we walk in, That's fine. Not multiple times a visit. No excuses

Went in here yesterday, collected my groceries but when I went to self check out, a worker blocked my path and demanded that I show my costco card (the same one they check at the front door). I showed it to the worker, then put it away, the worker then demanded that I hand it to them so they can check the photo ID portion of it, so I took it back out and they checked it (obviously it was my card). This worker then proceeded to tell me that the reason they are checking the cards like this is because they don't think it's fair that there are people borrowing these cards to use themselves.......if another person has your card, wouldn't it be because you gave it to them so they could benefit from the savings on groceries to help feed their families? This behavior (and business practice) is absolutely unacceptable, it's been reported that in Canada there are millions of families that are not getting enough food and this is how Costco helps out.Don't worry Costco, word of mouth spreads faster than anything else, keep this up and you be packing your bags and going back to the US.

Has everything but like all COSTCO’s you go in thinking of spending no more then ( less then $100.00) and come out with $259.00 worth of stuff. That was probably the cheapest I have ever come out and I was picking a few things up to go hunting. We ate well for 2 weeks :-) .

I’ve been stressing hard about winter tires this coming season because my car sucks in the snow and I was dreading the cost to shovel out for winter tires as well. I was recommended to Costco for their winter tire sales. Miranda B- in the tire centre was so incredibly helpful. She helped me price out a variety of tires and ensured that they would fit my car properly. She also helped me navigate the online system and walked me through the process. I can’t thank her enough for her customer service and support. Thanks for all the assistance Miranda.

Not as busy as most in the region. not much of a line up anywhere, including at the gas station. The layout was a mirror image of most that I've been to. That hurt my brain a bit, lol. besides that it was an easy Costco trip.

I drove by this costco to inquire about a faulty car battery I purchased in 2021. One customer rep was friendly and told me to bring the battery and there should be warranty on it.I found another day with a bit more free time. That employee was off - Suprisingly, none of the on-duty customer service staff, even the manager was willing to help, claiming my previous purchase was marked refunded so there was nothing they could do.I realized they marked my first purchased faulty battery 2019 as not claimed (which cost me lots of road side assistance calls) as refunded on my replacement one - the 2021 purchase.I did not anticipate their batteries to have such poor performance. I figured with warranty, there was not much to worry about. Little did I realize they marked my replacement battery as refunded - which completely voids any warranty on it.So I spent in total 2 hours driving back and forth, and waiting in line for them to sort this out internally (without any solution), just to be told that I had to go to the other Costco who "made the mistake".Horrible experience. They were "generous" enough to offer me $10 core refund for a faulty battery that's still within warranty. Owning their own mistake? Not happening.$120+ membership doesn't even get you the fundamental level of customer service you can get from Walmart for free.

Beautiful clean store and not as busy as the city. The gas bar is pretty quick. Lots of helpful staff. Easy wheelchair access and I love the prepared food for busy nights. So many great deals and hey Christmas is out already

Best costco in the calgary area, but gas in Okotoks is too expensive. Only save 2 cents vs. anywhere in calgary

It’s pretty ridiculous for Costco when they don’t let two younger people use their grandmas costco card to get her groceries when she can’t even leave home. We we’re completely turned away even after our story.

Actually enjoyed shopping on the weekend. Mostly painless except for the app ditching my account when I needed it for checkout. Account is also saved in my digital wallet but cashier said that wasn't good enough.

Unless you check the dates on every single item you buy here, you can get screwed. It has happened pretty much every time we go (every two weeks for the past 2 years) that one produce item is moldy or rotten once you open it even if the date states it is good for one or two more weeks. You literally have to inspect every produce item you buy and sometimes you still cannot see it until you get home. Not sure if they don't store it properly? I live in south Calgary but prefer this location because most of the staff is quite friendly. However, it is not advantageous for me to drive one hour to return produce. I wish they would do a better job. Watch the dates on all refrigerated items also as they sell them right up until due date. Shopping here adds another 1/2 hour onto your time to check every item for expiry and mold.

I wish all Costcos were built like this one in Okotoks. Nicely laid out with more room, buy it could also be that it wasn't very busy.
