The purse selection is not bad , HT seems to be upping their bag game .. which im loving the teddy bear bags .
The only thing that was really off-putting is how the staff are yelling at customers as they walk in , like its funny . Sure, fun at work is great , but damn it was loud and gave me off put vibes. .

Staff are friendly. However it seems like this location just never gets new stuff?? Other hot topics in Calgary aren’t great for this either, but this one seems oddly worse for it. Otherwise good.

I’m definitely going to fill out the survey on the bottom of my receipt but oh my Lordy !!!!!! Came in when I wasn’t having the greatest day and honestly just wanted some retail therapy. I not only found some of the cutest clothes and items EVER, all fitting so perfectly, and for smoking great deals, but I had the pleasure of interacting with some of the kindest, most patient, competent members of the staff I’ve ever met in my life !!!!! Shout out to Rylie and Dee for honestly just absolutely making my entire experience and frankly evening !!!!!! Sincerely just can’t say enough great things about everybody at this location. I even received a handmade ring and a glow in the dark bat !!!!
I used to frequent the southcentre location and was always a little upset because their manager is a total jerk and I don’t like supporting people like that. I can easily say I will now be driving however long it takes to make this my go-to Hot Topic for everything !!!!! Can’t emphasize enough how much I want to keep supporting this business thanks to the over the top phenomenal service I received tonight !!!!! Thank you all so sincerely much for completely turning my day around !!!! (: <3

Had a pleasant shopping experience here. All staff were super awesome! Rylee (spelling could be a bit off) was an amazing member of the staff helping so many customers and super friendly.
Also a great place to shop!

Hot Topic has an awesome array of apparel for a variety of fandoms, making it a fun place to shop for fans of all kinds. However, the prices can be quite steep. To get the most bang for your buck, I recommend checking out their "Buy 1, Get 1 50% Off" deals instead. This way, you can still enjoy their unique and diverse merchandise without breaking the bank. Overall, it's worth a visit if you're a fan of pop culture and looking for some cool gear.

first, if you're shopping for jewelry here, I would recommend looking out for HT's "buy one, get one 50% off" deals. they're a great way to make your spending efficient if you can't always buy them.
second, the customer service was top-notch. a genuine effort was made to go above and beyond and chat with me personally. I don't expect to always have these sorts of interactions with retail staff, but the moments were nice. (at the same time, I was left alone for a good chunk of my time browsing the store, which I liked as well; I felt like I could really take my time to shop.)
also, I had $5 in Hot Cash, and was given a small physical card after an employee asked about my HT account and noticed the Cash in it. that's a great indicator system to have when it gets busy (it was not during my visit).

Went in looking for a small case/cosmetic bag. Riley was very helpful and went out of his way to find solutions for me when I explained why I didn't like a certain style. He checked if I had any rewards to spend.

The staff here are super friendly and patient ! There’s a lot of good selection and it’s a good vibe all around.
Shout out to the person who helped my sister and I at till today. We were just getting some bracelets initially but they let us go back a couple times to get some extra stuff for the sale and they were super patient all the while. Ended up getting some LOTR earrings and extra bracelets for a pretty good price ! This person was super kind, fun, and friendly (as are the other staff) so I recommend this location if you want a fun experience for sure.

As soon as you walk in the door you're bombarded with staff members asking a million questions. And when you politely tell them you don't need help or are just browsing, they continue to harass and ask more questions which leads to a very frustrating shopping experience.
I was surrounded by about four staff members asking me for my account number, and when I told them I wasn't interested in finding out my balance, they continued to bother me and ask me for my number until I became frustrated.
Then at the register, I was harassed again, this time about only buying one item during some sale.
They've become incredibly pushy and annoying, and as someone who likes to be left alone while I shop, it's put me off of this store entirely.
I understand trying to be helpful, but eventually it just becomes annoying and overwhelming.
Stop with the aggressive, pushy sales tactics and the store wouldn't be empty 99% of the time.
