“I had called ahead to see if they had a book in stock that I have been dying to read called Bad Mormon by Heather Gay. The gentleman who answered the phone was very polite and checked and said that they did have it in stock and would I like one to be put on hold to which I replied of course. So he asked me to hold while he verified that they did in fact have the book in stock and when he came back to the phone book in hand asked my name and when I would be in to pick up the book.
So about an hour later when I walked into the store I was completely blown away by how much it had changed since the last time I had been in there. It looked so much larger and it was immaculate there were new releases and classic books everywhere. I literally went into book shock lol, I had to stop and look at everything and I actually saw about 20 books that I want to read including the new books by Suzanne Collins who wrote the Hunger Games series. I had no idea that there were new books out for this series and so when I went to the counter to get my book I asked the sales girl about the new books and she explained that they were actually prequels to the Hunger Games books. So for all of you out there who are Hunger Games fans there are 2 books that you need to get… the first is The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes and the 2nd one is Sunrise of the Reaping.
I also highly recommend the book I picked up Bad Mormon by Heather Gay. I am a huge fan of the Real Housewives franchise so I knew about this book as Heather is on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City and I honestly have not been able to put this book down since I bought it lol.”
“The Sherwood Park Bookworm is a fabulous local bookstore! The staff is always super friendly and welcoming. They have new releases, used/vintage books, a great kids section, various puzzles/book marks/knick-knacks for sale, etc. The store is clean, bright and very well maintained. It is a cozy atmosphere to browse and it feels great to buy something from them and support local!”
