I have two business accounts and Bob has been amazing to work with. He really takes the time to build relationships, he is easy to work with and extremely knowledgeable in the small business realm.

No customer service. No communication. Poor response to issues. High branch turnover. Impossible to reach mortgage specialist.

I have dealt with this bank and this branch for over thirty years. I have been dealing with an issue for over 4 months, absolutely no success at branch or on line or on telephone. If any one does read these please call me number on file!

January 16, 2021 Saturday.Looked up the day before to see that the Wye road branch opens at 9:30am.9:30 am Saturday enter branch, go to "Teller" to deposit cheques. Get told theres no teller service on Saturdays. But they will helpfully hold my cheques for extra days if I deposit in bank machine. Yay?1 star for "opening" on time. 1 star for the staff at least being friendly about it.

The wait time on the phone is unacceptable. Far too long. People don't typically have 20 minutes or longer to wait on hold.

Mortgage payment due dec 25. Bank closed. Only open on dec 31. Before the bank even opened on dec 31 my mortgage payment was already sent to collections. Happy fn new year to you too Scotiabank.I can contact Scotiabank via twitter but not email ........ that's pretty sad. Get with the times. I should be able to email my PBO/FA without having to tweet. 10+ years with Scotiabank and I am eager to move my business to a more forward thinking institution.New review for 2020: multiple times tried to renegotiate finances to improve my lending rates, got nothing from Scotiabank because I'm unemployed... Now post covid-19 they want to renegotiate my mortgage early, to get me at a lower rate. Sanu contacted me by phone and email, I called back immediately since I have some credit products I'd like rolled into a lower rate. Not only could Sanu not tell me what rate he could offer for my mortgage, he also could not tell me how much a month he could save me in dollars, and was unwilling to discuss my higher interest products until we dealt with my mortgage... I'm guessing my early renewal penalty wouldn't out weight the "savings".

A drive-thru ATM that you can’t reach without scraping your tire against the curb and opening your car door, and then the indoor ATM’s are locked in the evening so you have no other choice. Also got a $20 bill from the ATM that had a piece missing and it wouldn’t accept it back. Abismal.

What I witnessed today made me extremely sad. I would hope that if I were a lifetime customer of Scotiabank and I came in with a problem I would be assisted. I witnessed an elderly lady having issues with her online banking. She had obviously been in the branch earlier with issues and came back with her laptop in hand again to try and resolve these issues. She was given the coldest turnaround from any customer service employee I have ever seen. Wasn't even given a chance to approach the desk and dicuss in private. No, this person decided to talk loudly across the bank to tell her she couldn't use the WiFi and to go home and call the number on her card... What have you become? Think about people as human beings and not as an inconvenience you're after all in the customer service industry. You service this community. Many people are technologically illiterate and given the current times being forced into a new way of life that is dependent upon technology. This lady needed help and not from another customer offering to WiFi Hotspot her laptop...My meeting with Kenny is the only reason I'm giving this a star. He was fantastic, professional and helpful. Maybe he can speak with the "Karen" out front and teach her some compassion....

I would like to thank Sanu Nair for helping me he was very polite and explained me everything very clearly . He was focussing on solving my problem not on selling services or credit cards which is very rare to find nowadays. thank you Scotiabank bank staff great service!! Keep it up!

My fiancé and I tried to go through this scotia location for our mortgage. We dealt with Tina and almost lost our home because of how things were handled. They tried to cut corners, showed no desire to meet deadlines and then didn’t answer our calls for a week during a very critical time in our home buying process. Look elsewhere if you’re in the position to buy a home. Especially if you’re self employed. We found out at the end of the process that they can’t approve anyone that’s self employed. Hopefully positive changes happen within this branch.
