“The Forgotten Walmart of Stettler
If there were an award for “Most Likely to Have Been Frozen in Time,” this Walmart would win—unopposed. It’s the forgotten sibling of the Walmart family, the one no one checks on but somehow keeps going.
Medium-sized pants? Practically an endangered species. If you manage to find a pair, you should probably buy a lottery ticket because the universe is clearly on your side.
The checkouts are vintage—as in, old enough to qualify for a museum exhibit. I half-expected someone to hand me a paper punch card.
The washroom was dated but clean. It gives “1990s mall restroom,” but in a nostalgic, almost comforting kind of way.
Overall, it’s a quirky little adventure… but let’s be honest: this place needs a major upgrade. A glow-up. A renovation montage. Something. Until then, it remains Stettler’s very own Walmart time capsule.”
“Had day surgery, got out at 1755 hours and pharmacy closed at 1800 hours. Called asked for my pain killer, pharmacy had no problem stay a bit later to fulfill prescription.Thanks!”
