The staff went above and beyond for my Walter!!! They totally surprised me by everyone signing his cast and writing sweet messages for him, since it was his last cast change. Then the entire staff came in as a group to show their love for Walter. It was the sweetest, most heartwarming gesture ever. We felt so special. I love each and every person there. Their caring and expertise is miles above any other facility. I will never forget what they did for us.

I would never recommend this specific location for anyone’s pets. I don’t understand why this staff was so unwilling to help my dog when the staff I had spoken to prior were much kinder & understanding. I had an appointment set for 4:45 & was going to be a little late due to traffic & being 45 mins from this vetco location (it was the only location with an appointment asap for my pup), myself & my husband both called their front office 6 times each & they wouldn’t answer till my husband got redirected by petco’s actual staff. After finally getting ahold of them after almost 20 minutes of trying, they answer only to tell me it’s too late & I would have to reschedule. The manager was dismissive & did not care at all even though she could CLEARLY hear my dog crying in the background because of the anxiety & pain he’s in from his ear infection. They were unhelpful, uncaring and you could clearly tell they all just wanted to go home, with zero reguard for my pup and his pain. I would think a vet would care about their animals. I guess I was mistaken.

My husband and I have been visiting Vetco for our two Rex Rabbits since March of 2022 every 6 weeks for full exams and/or nails trims. Dr. Bycroft and Susan with their assistants have been the most wonderful people to work with. The nicest, most knowledgeable, sweetest people to my husband and I and our beloved rabbits. My male rabbit most looks forward to seeing Susan! I would also like to note that the wonderful receptionist is professional, polite, and puts us consistently on the schedule.

My dogs Arizona and Hailey have both been to this vetco multiple times and seen all three doctors and I have to say all the doctors and vet staff are remarkable. Dr Bycroft took his time getting to know Arizona before he was finally able to diagnose her with valley fever and both Dr Cole and Dr De La Cruz saw Hailey for her dental 2 weeks ago. The Doctor's and Staff were nothing but kind and caring and respectfull when I had my 2 old dogs that needed to unfortunately cross the rainbow Bridge. I have the Vital care premier plan for all my dogs and will be returning with my dogs for anything they could possibly need. Vetco total care is amazing.

Vetco has been absolutely amazing with our pups and very last minute. They have taken us in as soon as possible and diagnosed two of our pups with Valley Fever. They have been nothing but beyond accommodating especially with our oldest that was recently diagnosed with VF. Due to his age and the VF really taking him down, we did have to make the decision to put him down about a month and a half ago. But, between the time of taking his test and them kindly and caringly gave us suggestions to keep him as healthy and try to beat the VF was beyond impressive. They were very straightforward and did not candy coat anything, which I appreciate, but there was never the feeling of not having empathy. Some of the reviews that I have read sound outrageous and just not sure if those people are crazy… We also live in Chandler, so the fact that we have come here multiple times, says a lot. We are grateful for the team here!!

They worked with me and my senior dog to find an arthritis treatment that works well for him, and he’s feeling so much better that his playful personality is back! They also did a great job answering my questions and making sure I understood everything about his lab results and what they meant. It’s so nice to find a vet that cares about the animals and not just the money!

The way they treated Lucifer was horrible. They refuse to let the Service dog handler go back with her Service dog. Not sure if it was because she was in a wheelchair or what their reasoning was have her she had to hear her dog cry out in pain not once but twice. This dog has videos posted of taken an IV like a champ with no indication of pain, so something terribly went wrong. They claim they did a full oral exam. However, they never took the muzzle off. Based on how this location interacted with the service, dog handler and her service dog, I 100% will not be taking my service dog here ever.

After a scare with our pups paw becoming extremely swollen overnight, they were able to get us in the same day. Dr. Bycroft and Michael were great with our cattle dogs stranger danger and promptly addressed our concerns. We were very happy with the care we received!

They some how lost my service dogs rabies records/ certificates that were done at this location two years ago, never answer their phone so I had to call the happy valley location which answered on the first ring. I needed the records for my service dogs health certificate in order to fly, and because they didn’t have any record of it other than a quick and simple note, it had to be redone. They also separated my friend’s service dog from her and ended up causing injuries to the dogs ear with either the ear thermometer or the otoscope. Her dog was screaming in pain and it could be heard from the lobby. The vet refused to come out and speak to my friend regarding what happened, and now my friend’s dog not only is showing head shyness due to the pain that was inflicted which will require additional training, he also had scratches on the inside of his ear from the tool that was used, which resulted in needing an additional vet visit at another vet. In the state of Arizona, intentionally causing harm to a service animal is a felony, and I sincerely hope that my friend steps up and takes legal action for the damage that their staff caused to her service dog.

Racist doctor!!!! Bad doctor!!!!! Dr. Cole is a really bad doctor. Things/traffic happens in life and we got 5 minutes late. They did not take in my dog for his shots. The clinic does not close until 6pm on Friday and they closed the doors at 4:40pm, unbelievable! They not care for our pets health. They just want to go home.

My 9 year old shih tzu/maltese was experiencing a lot of pain and discomfort. I called a few vets near me and everyone was booked solid and wasn’t taking in walk ins. Fortunately I called Vetco in Avondale and they had an opening on the same day. The person who took my call was so kind and friendly. When I arrived to the office , I was greeted by front desk and immediately taken back to a room. We were 15 minutes early and they took us back. The tech named Michael came in and triaged my dog , he was so patient and kind to my dog. He listened to me and observed my dog. He focused on making sure that my dog- Mochi calmed down and felt safe. As we all know, most dogs hate the vet and any type of medical setting. It’s almost as is they sense fear around them. Mochi wasn’t able to get on the table let alone allowed us to lift him so Michael took the time to work with him on the floor until Mochi relaxed. When Dr Bycroft came in, he was the same way . Super empathetic and caring. He assessed and observed Mochi , he took his time and I didn’t feel rushed. It takes a certain kind of person to work with animals, this team at Vetco is exceptional and marvelous. By the time they finished with labs and X-ray , they explained his plan of care and answered all my questions. If you want to excellent care , take your pet here. They’ll be in great hands and well cared for.

My pup is in pain and the dr and assistance was very gentle with him. Made him relax enough to be able to exam him. The Dr plan is conservative and he didn't try to push procedures that aren't needed at this time.

At first, the place was great. They cancelled my first appointment when i was ready to pay and had the money. They had to reschedule me. We ran into a snag where we didn't have the amount to pay for fixing my cat when it came to dropping her off. This lady whos white and skinny blonde think her name is erica was very rude saying we cant come back with my cat cause we mid canceled the surgery because i didnt sign the 500 bucks they wanted to charge. I just felt her domineering attitude was very mean, and i felt embarrassed the way she was talking to me. She had this attitude. The check-up price is fine, but if there is anything else with surgery or a blood test, be careful. they charge ALOT. I already spent 200 for blood work and prep now 500 more? why is it so much? Id say just be careful. everyone else was fine but that skinny gold eyeliner white blonde women is very very rude. so be careful.
