I started going back to Quack, and the last 6 months or so, my car has been clean, much improved.

I have used this car wash 3 or 4 times and my car is never clean. Water spots, still dirty, windshield needs cleaning. Employees are always friendly, grounds are clean, just my car is never clean at this location.”

“I went through the carwash and came out with a broken stem valve to my tire, which caused the tire to be flat immediately. I am a single mom, and it was me and my daughter in the car. I was worried and was not able to get a hold of anyone to help me. Jordan, one of the employees at the car wash, was kind enough to help me. There were plenty of other people around, but no one else offered help. I don't know what I would have done without him. I am very thankful there are still people out there who are kind enough and willing to help.”

“It can be really hard if you have a car problem when you are on a trip. You don’t know the shops. If you find a good shop, they are busy and want you to make an appointment for next week. The bad ones have time for you, since the locals already know to avoid them. But yesterday I just got lucky. Sombrero is a very competent place, so they have plenty of business. I could see all the cars other customers had left. But when Ernest heard my story, he decided to take care of me first. I put on a timer when I left my car and he was finished in 47 minutes! I was again on my way and I was actually able to complete all three of my appointments in Phoenix and head home the same day. Thanks, Ernest, for saving my trip!

Not only was Ernest fast, but he bills in a very fair way for the customer. If you go to Auto Zone and your needed part is priced at $100, the shop can get that same part for maybe $80 because they are a high volume account. And when that part shows up on your bill when you check out, the invoice might charge you $160 or $200. Except for with Ernest; he charges you for his cost only, so you pay only the same $80 he paid.

Sombrero would definitely be my go to shop if I lived in Buckeye.”

“Huge shoutout to the store manager James. He was very nice and helpful with outstanding mannerism (which is one of a BIG key role in keeping a successful business running) I personally suffer with extreme back pain from a car accident I was in and James offered to personally apply tire shine on my vehicle! Definitely secured my business and loyalty! I reside in the Glendale area but happened to be in the Litchfield area visiting family and came across this superstar and I must admit I was AMAZED with the overall service I received during my time at this place! “’ve been a local here in Buckeye for 37 years, and I genuinely love this gas station and the effort that’s been put into it. It has one of the best selections of snacks and drinks around, the coldest beverages in town, and the service is always great.

My only concern is the car wash. While it seems to be maintained to a certain extent, I’ve consistently run into the same issue. Each time I go to wash my pickup, there’s a significant amount of mud left behind from previous users. It’s gotten to the point where I have to spend extra time and money clearing out the wash bay myself just to be able to clean my vehicle properly—otherwise I end up tracking mud into and onto my truck, and even having mud fling back onto it when I leave.

Once or twice, that’s understandable. But when it happens every visit, it becomes frustrating and inconvenient. A little extra attention to this area would make a big difference. Possibly having an attendant check the bays periodically, or even adding signage encouraging customers to clean up after themselves, could go a long way.

I say this because I truly appreciate this location and want to see it continue to be the best it can be. Thank you for your service shell.”

“I was on the fence about a three or four star review here because the location was clean, plenty of parking, easy access from any direction and good service when we checked out. I was bummed at some of the drink selections though. I've never seen so many energy drinks in my life. Tons of Pepsi products but maybe one row of coke or Diet Coke. I looked everywhere for a Coke Zero and nothing. Unless you want a bang energy drink or water not a lot of sugar free options today we're found. Maybe they were out, but the Coke options were definitely lacking. This location is pretty far out so a bit of a bummer.”

“I spoke to someone on the phone and they came very quickly to solve the problem with one of the machines to wash the cars...excellent service.... but for me it is already very expensive to wash the cars here in El Old Buckeye...5 dollars 5 to 7 minutes and 2 dollars for the vacuum cleaner for 5 minutes... Maybe a small car is fine. But for trucks it is very little time.”
