Really sketchy, they are friendly when speaking to you, but will neglect to tell you the whole story about costs, leaving you paying $100+ more than you'd expected to pay. There's a reason why this location is one and a half stars lower than other Budget locations nearby.

Booking was easy(Costco) and pick up was not bad. Added damage waiver, but they also added 2 other insurance/roadside assistance things I did not want. He sold me on them filling up the gas when we dropped it off. He said it was a great deal because we would pay AZ gas prices instead of CA prices. I specifically asked if it was just charged at however many gallons would be needed to fill it up and he said yes. Did not mention it was a $65.60 fee. Completely negates the $1/gal savings. I know not all of it is on him. Some is on Budget, but I did not ask for supplemental liability or roadside assistance, just the damage waiver. It should have also been made clear that it is a $65.60 fee for the fill up option. Almost $500 for a 2day 1way rental is absurd. With the $100 one way fee and roughly $30/day damage waiver I expected around $300-$350. Guess I will know more for next time.

Don't waste your time here. I rented a box van for moving for which I thought was a good deal. When I got there, there were all kinds of scare signs and posters trying to get box van renters to buy their insurance. I had to deal with their clown named Josh who made me call my insurance in front of him and handed me a form to sign. I'm a former fleet manager who has rented numerous box trucks and vans for personal and business reasons and never experienced this. The form said in bold font that I didn't have to buy insurance from them to rent a van. Then said clown lies to my face and tells me driving the van if I don't buy insurance is illegal in the state of Arizona. I ask him how come the form says "buying insurance is not a condition of renting from Budget" and why Penske and U-Haul don't mandate it. At that point, I was livid that I was being lied to and I was furious that they had the nerve to basically hold my move for random over getting more money from me. I grabbed my license and credit card then Josh threw a tantrum and ripped up his insurance scare sheet. I then went to U-Haul across the street which was a great experience.

I am a fastbreak customer, when I got to dfw, my car was NOT ready it took another 1 hour to get a car, then on their website, they say save money and prepay for fuel, but they DONT SAY THEY CHARGE YOU FOR A FULL TANK OF GAS, NO MATTER WHAT YOU USED...SCAM! do not ever trust Budget and what they say on their website or your reservation. NEVER AGAIN WILL I TRUST BUDGET RENT A CAR!

Pick up and drop off was smooth, but the amount they charged my card is triple what it should have been. When I called, they stated that they charged me for insurances that I declined and there is no way for them to refund the money. Even though it was declined.

Fraudulent changes have appeared on my bank statements for several days now from this company. They give people certain numbers for your account but then ask for totally different numbers any time you call. This makes it hard for them to identify you as a customer. They have terrible customer service. Will add miles that are incorrect to the odometer and costs never authorized by you on your “receipts”. Please take pictures, check everything, demand receipts( because they try not giving them to you), and track everything you can because these people are scammers and liars. The customers standing in front of us experienced similar issues and it took them almost an hour just to give us our return receipt ( we had to insist on) which was dramatically incorrect. Then told us we would have to call customer service to fix any issues because they don’t fix or charge here. But they then proceeded to charge my card fraudulently several times. None of these systems are connected properly and no one is properly trained enough to handle their duties. This creates a great strain on all parties involved. No one knows what they’re doing period here. Stay far away from this company if you value your time, money and peace.

I forgot my kids tablets in trunk of car rental and Michael who is manager said they were there and I can pick up . I tried picking them up multiple times with no one being able to locate them. Then Stephanie told me I’m no longer a paying customer and that they were thrown in trash! Ridiculous and shameful that they would throw away my 2 and 3 year olds tablets away. Would never do business with this location again. Extremely rude and Stephanie needs a new occupation.

I was happy to finally be able to get a rental car it had been extremely tough to find an available one…however this manager at this location has a terrible attitude and his customer service skills suck! Not sure if he hates his job or not but I won’t spend another dime at that location!

Did not mention that they don't accept debit, only credit when booking. Wasted $20+ on Lyft rides to and from location. Also when on site they said they run your credit which wasn't mentioned when making the reservation either. So if you don't borrow money (use credit), or if you do and just don't want a hit on your credit rating just to rent a car probably look elsewhere.

PLEASE READ BEFORE RENTING WITH BUDGET.Not a warm welcome to say the least. The attendant looked at me like was trying to rob a bank. Profiling possibly?I pre-paid for the car online. However they ran a credit check in store and denied me, in spite the fact that I had the deposit available on a debit card. Apparently this is policy. But It makes me wonder if this is one of those “situational” judgment calls that could have been handled differently. My advice? Use Enterprise (they gave me a 60 percent discount).

Moving is stressful and expensive and you need reliable services to make sure it goes smoothly, this particular team / company does not offer you that.We used this company for moving from Chandler to San Diego because they had a car trailer. We wanted to go with UHaul because they were less expensive but they were out of car trailers and it was important for us to be able to move all our vehicles in one move because we wouldn't be able to go back for a month after the move. When we arrived at Budget they didn't have a trailer for us, despite our reservation. This caused us to have to pay for parking for our vehicle to sit drive for a month and the 12 hours it would take to drive back and forth to Chandler. When these costs are taken into consideration this nearly doubled the cost of rental and we have therefore ask for a full refund. They also gave us a truck with no walk through. It was dirty and sticky but we had to get on the road and they were closing up shop, practically pushing customers out the door. When we got to San Diego that staff was friendly and sympathetic and they told us that they would have to charge us a cleaning fee for how gross it was on the inside but if the Chandler location really didn't do any walk through, we would get that money back. Its been nearly 6 weeks, 7 emails to customer service, 2 responses, and an offer to refund $50.00 of a $500+ rental...

Not bad. Easy to find, although if you are not paying attention, you could turn into the lot next door for J.D. Byryder. I like that you can use a debit card(most won't let you when picking up or reserving) but they told me the deposit they hold was100 dollars less than I had to pay in person. Otherwise not bad

The truck almost got us into accident. The truck stalls when down shifting on the freeway when slowing down due to constructions. I always have to put on the hazard light and pull over the side of the freeway, just imagine the force of the wind that get pushed to the truck when semi's passes by. The cabin leaks when it rains. The rental office did not inspect the truck prior to renting the truck in Arizona, did not even explained what DEF fuel gauge mean and where to get it. I demand a refund. Don't fall for their 20% discount BS. Rent U-haul or Penske instead.
