POD is lost. No one can let us know where it's at. Was told repeatedly it'll be there in 30 mins or so. Now today it's not even in AZ. The concept is nice, the execution is terrible, and the customer service is even worse.

Overcharged and refund denied. Ordered two pods that would fit on one delivery truck. When I called to schedule delivery of both pods they gave me separate delivery / transportation fees as if they were shipping them separately. I repeatedly told them to put both units on the same truck and only charge me for 1 transportation fee, they agreed. Upon delivery of the units, my credit card was charged twice the amount that I was told. Spoke to several Pod employees who informed me that a refund would be issued per our original agreement. After several attempts and months later, they have decided NOT to refund the $6100. I will NEVER recommend or use this company again.

The sales people don't tell you how poor communication is at this company. Our driver delivered on of the pods 3 hours prior scheduled time and blocked our car in our garage. 1 pod was supposed to be parked in the street so we could go in and out of the garage. Their weekend customer service is overseas and are clueless. I would not ever use them again. Also, we moved to another state and they don't tell you the pods aren't handled with care, the trucks slam the pods on the street and driveway. We used blankets, wrap and ties (which you have to buy on your own extra) and all my furniture was dented like it was slammed by force. I don't recommend for far away moves. Revised I did get a credit of $300 but I had to hound them for 2 months.

Hideous company. Unreliable service. THE worst customer service. The incident people are hostile and rude. Avoid... I used vía USAA discount, not worth it.

NEVER use this company. What a fiasco. Fake advertising. They state they need 7 days heads up to deliver my pod full of my belongings. We called 10 days in advance and they state all their deliveries are booked for the month and that our pod won't be delivered for a month. Oh but get this, we can make arrangements to go get our belongings from the facility. I've never experienced such horrible service. DONT USE THIS COMPANY! Michele

If there was a negative star rating I would award it. I.'m trying to schedule my delivery from tucson to Florence AZ for the 4th time in as many weeks. Can't get this company off their a$$es to release my household. First delivery was a failure on May 6. I'm writing this on May 22. No notice and I scheduled moving crew to unpack, Uhaul to transport. Second date was a no show. Third date was cancelled and i can't get a confirmation to my request to release my stuff on June 16 so I can hire the manpower to unload. Abject failure of a company! Don't go there.very untrustworthy.

Pod never arrived on the date scheduled. Called to ask what was going on, and no one could give me a straight answer. They said there was nothing they could do because there was no storage available.

(The five-star rating is pertaining only to this local branch) Everyone I have dealt with at this location has been super helpful and friendly. Chris and Larry have gone above and beyond to help me on a couple different occasions. This location is a tremendously well run franchise! Anyone who is complaining about this location probably doesn't know how to read, as there are signs on the office door saying what to do. They don't have pods waiting outside for you for security reasons, so they bring it out when you check into the office. Not complicated. The corporate level is a different story. The corp is disjointed and unorganized and leaves the employees to sort out messes with limited options. Their billing and portal systems are down a lot and some of their customer service reps aren't consistently cross trained. For example, I had 3 customer service reps give me 3 different hours of operation for this location. Corporate management doesn't care about this because they don't lose sleep over their customers struggling a bit. Hence is the way of corporations though.

PODS did a great job of moving us from Chicago to Arizona. Held our POD in a storage unit for almost 5 months until we found our home. Only problem we had was the drop off to our Chicago home. Parked it too close to the trees and took 2 times for them to figure out how to pick up without damaging the trees. But, they figured it out. Would recommend them for moving.

I wish I would have read the reviews first. I had pods scheduled to pick up my pod on a Wednesday. They did not pick it up. They said a trailer was in the way. They immediately charged my credit card a $100 fee plus tax. They stated it was a 'cancellation fee'. I have read every word of the contract and it does not state that this fee may apply anywhere on the contract that I signed. I contacted the customer chat line. The chat person 'chris' stated there was nothing he could do. The charge was authorized by the local pods manager. This tells me the charge is not a national charge. Again it does not show anywhere on the rental agreement. Chris then typed-- "You can call 800-776-7637 to dispute the charge but it will be denied" I again told him it was a fraudulent charge and must be removed. He then said he spoke to a supervisor and they would 'split the charge with me'. This again speaks to the fraudulent nature of the charge. Do not use this company. They will breach their own contract to try and squeeze money out of you!

Giving a 1-star review seems generous. We opted to use PODS for our daughter when she was at a lease-end, but was waiting to get her start date for a job on the East Coast. I confirmed at booking that cross country transit was not an issue, so we proceeded. Her move out experience was good, so that's a positive. Fast forward a few months. COVID scrambles our daughter's assignment and she ends up working remotely. Her belonging stayed in the POD, even though their monthly charges exceed market rates for self-storage. In January, our daughter decides to move to CO. Hooray - a shorter move distance! Signs a lease and reaches out to PODS to get a quote for the transport. She gets a $2500 written quote that seems reasonable enough given the cost of fuel. Transit with Feb. 1st arrival is doable as well. Then, things just implode. My daughter gets an email a week before her departure saying her date is no longer held because we didn't submit the approval email...that we never received. She pushes her departure 2 weeks to get on the calendar. A week after the original cancellation message and push to move dates, I get an email saying if we don't submit the approval now, the second dates will be canceled. My daughter starts working through the approval and I look at the attached invoice. $8500. This was $6000 over the written quote we agreed to. Daughter calls the PODS 800 number. Talks to a rep who says they can't honor the original quote, but couldn't explain why. Said they would talk to a manager and call back. Didn't happen. We called again and got acknowledgement of the error and were told a credit to my card was processed. It didn't happen. I could go on and on about a similarly endless cycle of calls, promises and nothing happening. Needless to say, after numerous calls and emails, we finally got them to honor the original $2500 written quote. Our daughter's stuff was delivered without incident mid-month. I only received the $6000 credit to my card THIS week, after an email stating the issue stemmed from the fact they weren't really equipped to ship the size POD my daughter had her stuff in. Something no one...at any point in this incredibly frustrating, bordering on fraudulent, experience mentioned. Do yourself a favor...choose another moving option. It's that simple.

We just moved in Pebblecreek in Goodyear Az. And used this service from San Jose. We have a brand new gray colored cool deck driveway where pod was placed. The pod left white marks on the drive and I have pics of this with the pod placed in drive and pics after pod was picked up. I filed a claim but it was denided.I had to pay the contractor to recolor the driveway for $500.00 .It was $3500.00 for a 7x8 unit. This was very expensive.I would have been better off renting a uhaul trailer for $650.00 Please don't use this company. They dont stand behind their work.

Scammers! Be Aware! I was told when I booked my POD on 11/10/21 that because I live in a condo complex I would need HOA approval or city approval in order for them to allow me to have a POD on the Property. I called the city and got permission for the time I reserved my POD, but was told by the city representative that I could only have it for the time that I reserved the POD, 11/23/21-11/26/21, on the road next to my condo. I called on 11/15/21and told the PODS agent I got an email from the city stating I could have the POD there for these specific dates. The POD representative told me she did not need the copy I was trying to email to her, she said just show the driver. The driver had no interest in hearing about it. I was told my POD would be dropped off later in the afternoon on the 11/23/21, and it was dropped off at 9 am. At 4:30 pm PODS called me and told me that they were going to be closed on 11/26 (the Friday after Thanksgiving), and since the representative that scheduled me for this date overrode the system (this was news to me) they had no choice but to reschedule me for 12/13/21 to pick up my POD from the property. I explained that I had to get permission from the city to let them have it there for those specific days. I was told we're sorry but we are not open on 11/26/21 and the earliest availability we have is on 12/13/21. I called 2 other agents and all told me to look for emails and hopefully I would get a response in 48-72 business hours. When I asked them who would be paying for the citations they wouldn't answer me. The sales representative will lie and say anything to get you to sign a contract, they will tell you that there is no fee to cancel, Lie, that scheduling is wide open, Lie. They just want you to sign a contract. DON'T DO IT. They just want you in contract so that they can charge you for something. Then when something isn't right and you need to speak to them they don't have any answers or any management to solve the issue.
