I just went here for the first time to buy some rock climbing shoes. Jesus was super helpful and knowledgeable on helping me pick something good for a beginner. He walked me through everything and it was much appreciated. The store was clean, and well setup, and the cashier was also super helpful and kind with helping me order the size that they did not have. I will 100 percent be returning to this location for future business. Excellent service. Thanks so much.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!! ALL STAFF are so friendly and knowledgeable. I am new to backpacking and felt comfortable asking alllll the questions I had. They were answered with professional advice and opinions. I also enjoyed hearing their personal experiences outdoors with specific products. I felt good about the purchases I made with the advice and tips I received from multiple workers.
I signed up for the Membership and couldn’t be happier with my experiences at REI. :)

I walked into REI Chandler today with a pretty comprehensive list of gear for Yellowstone, slightly overwhelmed and honestly having only marginal confidence in what I actually needed. This trip means a lot to my family - we're honoring my grandfather in the place he loved most - and I was stressed about getting the right gear for what can be unpredictable September weather.
LeAnn saw me attempting to navigate through a clipboard full of options and just took over in the best way. She admitted she wasn't an expert on Yellowstone herself, but that didn't matter - she knew the gear inside and out. She went through every single item on my list, explaining the real differences between options and helping me understand what would actually work for my needs.
What really stood out was that she wasn't trying to rush me through or hand me off to someone else. She stayed with me the entire time, making sure I understood what I was buying and why. She even attempted to talk me out of some expensive stuff I didn't need while helping me see why other items were worth the investment.
It's rare to find someone in retail who combines true expertise with the ability to read what a customer actually needs. LeAnn has both. She turned what could have been an expensive disaster into a successful shopping experience.
I ended up buying almost everything on my list (which I hadn't planned on doing - score for REI!) but I left feeling confident about every purchase instead of worried I'd been oversold. During a really stressful week, LeAnn made this huge thing so much easier.
REI is lucky to have LeAnn and employees who actually know their stuff and genuinely care about helping customers. Thank you LeAnn!

Will not shop here again. Was treated very rudely by management and accused of trying to scam the system due to multiple returns. 4 out of 5 of the returns were unused, still in box, all tags attached, returned within 12 hours of purchase due to wrong size once tried on at home. Got a long lecture about how people are abusing the system, I get that, but if you look at the facts right in front of you and can clearly see that is not the case here don't be rude to your customers who are using your very clearly stated return policy as it is intended. And if it is that big of a problem, change the return policy.

Love REI, they’re awesome for outdoor gear. The selection and prices are consistently great, but the real difference is the expert in-store advice.
In particular, Ahmed was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful with finding just the right pair of trail shoes. He’s a huge reason we love REI.

I am literally sitting in the parking lot of this store right now and i had to write a review for how amazing my service was. i was primarily helped by dinae (im not sure if thats how its spelled) and she literally crawled into a crawl space to find a product for me. thank you so much dinae. it was max a 10 minute outing and all of the workers on the floor were incredibly helpful and kind. i will be returning and i recommend this store and location to all. thank you guys so much!

10 stars if I could. Walking into REI feels like stepping into a tactical candy store for grown-ups who prefer dirt under their nails and a backpack over a briefcase. I walked in here after hitting my fourth store looking for trail running shoes and finally, sweet relief, they had options that didn’t suck. You want gear for running? They’ve got it. Trail running? You bet. Hiking, camping, climbing, paddling, breathing in the fresh outdoors while spending way too much on a titanium spork you’ll use once? Absolutely. This place is a one-stop shop for everything you never knew you needed until you saw it hanging beautifully on a display wall lit like a museum exhibit.

These aren’t just retail workers, these are seasoned gear nerds who can tell you which hiking boots will survive the Grand Canyon and which water filter won’t leave you sipping Giardia.
