Pick up and go needs training when it comes to dealing with any issues. I canceled a Pick up order back in the beginning of July and the order is still listed as "ready to pickup " I even notified corporate and nobody knows how to get it removed. I just go to frys now. They are quick to pass the buck so I'll do the same and pass my bucks to Frys! Very disappointed!

Peter helped me to fill a couple of prescriptions on a Sunday morning after a long night in the Emergency Room. He was professional, quick, & courteous and provided excellent service while running the Pharmacy solo. I will be transferring all of my future prescriptions to this location. Thanks to Peter for doing a great job!

We moved all of our prescriptions over to Safeway's pharmacy after Walgreens' service levels plummetted during Covid and never really recovered. Prescriptions are often ready within ONE HOUR of the doctor calling them in and if you need to call the pharmacy, they answer by the second ring. Walgreens will put you on hold over and over for 10 - 15 minutes. The pharmacy staff is SUPER NICE and genuinely interested in your well being, which is so refreshing! Do yourself a favor and fill your prescriptions here.

Kasey is an amazing assistant. He always takes my calls and gets my prescriptions filled. If he can't he goes above and beyond calling other pharmacies to get them filled, and when I screw up and send one to the wrong pharmacy or ask for the wrong prescriptions to be filled he gets it corrected and turned around. All that and he does it with a smile on his face even when I'm exhausted.Peter is just as attentive. He answers all my questions and concerns, even if it's something as simple as to what my work best at the time or over the counter.Just an all around great team. I never used to go to Safeway, but now that I do I appreciate the real customer service that I get every time.

Went to Safeway tonight around 8:30 pm and there were no cash registers open. Waited in line behind 6 other people to use self checkout. If I wanted to be a cashier I would have gone to Walmart.

Doctor called in prescription for my daughter. They didn’t have the medication, wouldn’t have it in till Monday. Amanda went above and beyond and called until she found a Safeway Pharmacy with it in stock. On a Saturday no less! Thank you!!!

The store never recovered post-Covid from staffing issues. They are regularly closing areas of their business early or completely for days at a time. Currently, you cannot get anything from the deli or any of the fried chicken area items. I asked the customer service team about it and they just kind of say yeah we've had some problems. This is my neighborhood Safeway but I am ready to give up on them.

Arrived early for a 130 pm Booster appointment. Check in was fast as I completed the forms online. The Pharmacist said she would get to me in a few minutes. Right at 127 pm, she administered the shot and I was gone at 128 pm. Compared to other stores, this Safeway is tops.

I’m sick and tired of grocery stores allowing dogs ( non service) dogs just to walk around stores. This is unsafe and unsanitary. I will start reporting this . This is a health and safety violation.

After 25+ years grocery shopping at Safeway (1060 E Ray Rd, Chandler, AZ 8522), I'm finished. I doubt I'll ever return. I'll make the drive to the Frye's at Cooper and Warmer. Here's why. Overall, the store has gone downhill tremendously, especially during 2021. Not only has the quality of fresh foods being sold declined sharply, but worse, customer service declined even more. A few months ago, I entered the store at 7am and conducted my shopping. With a full cart, and multiple other shoppers trying to check-out, every check-out line was unstaffed. I had to self-checkout, as did others. with nearly full carts, while several cashiers were standing around talking and laughing amongst themselves, right in front of the manager's office. Try checking out a full cart, within the small confines of the self-serve checkout area. It took four times longer than if a cashier could "break-away" from their discussion and assisted customers with full, or nearly full, shopping carts. This has happened on several occasions and was fairly irritating, especially as I know the two of the three employees chatting away were cashiers. Prior to that event, on a different visit, I asked for help locating a very common product, sold by every grocery store, everywhere, because I couldn't locate it. I was told where the item was located, but it wasn't there. I was then told it was in a different aisle by another employee. It wasn't in that aisle either. I then asked the manager where I might find this item, He gave me another aisle to check. Guess what? Not there. So I went back to him, and said I still couldn't find it and asked "Could you find it for me?" He sent two employees out to search the store. It took almost 15 minutes to locate the elusive... Cheese Whiz. I made two laps searching the entire grocery store for this item, was misdirected by three employees, one of them a manager, and it still took them almost 15 minutes to find a container of... Cheese-Whiz. Two months ago, I needed just five or six grocery items, so I stopped off at Safeway. No baskets were available at the front door. I walked down the entire line of checkout lanes looking for a basket. None to be found. I asked an employee: "Where can I find a basket - I only need a few items?" She replied: "We don't have any more". I asked what happened to them and she replied: "We don't have any. People take them home". Just yesterday morning (Christmas Day, 2021), I was in Safeway for a few last minute items. Same thing. No baskets. I asked Kevin if there were any baskets around. Without even looking at me, he replied "No". I'm sorry Kevin had to work Christmas Day. I really am. But he wouldn't even look at me and provided a terse one word reply. So I guess that's it. No more hand-held baskets at Safeway... because "people take them home"? Has the idea of "order more baskets" been considered? Who knows? If unstaffed cashier checkout lanes, employees not knowing where common items can be located, employees not assisting customers with full carts by keeping checkout lanes closed thereby forcing self-checkout is something you enjoy, the Safeway at 1060 E. Ray Road in Chandler) is the place to go. While there are some outstanding employees at this Safeway (like Amanda and Georgia), there's also almost a kind of DISDAIN for customers at this particular Safeway (Store Number 1605) that is becoming more and more pervasive among it's employees, like Kevin. Whoever ultimately owns this store is not being well-served by the management staff in place. How do I know this? Well, after 25+ years of shopping there, I'm grocery shopping elsewhere. That's how I know.

Pharmacy people are great but severely understaffed. Went to pick meds on 4 separate occasions and couldn't because the only staff member was doing vaccines. I wouldn't recommend doing any business here.

Left twice now empty handed. Horrible customer service at deli and Starbucks. Been told deli is closed at 5 pm on a Saturday. Starbucks employee can't even order. No training. No change in register. Watched an employee walk right lady me waiting patiently at sandwich counter. Go help another employee at the chicken counter. Served her before coming over to tell me the sandwiches Is closed. Thanks for making me wait an extra 5 minutes to help another employee when you could if told me as you walked past me. On top of that why is the deli closed at 5pm???

It was me. Old and tired I was looking for candied ginger for my daughter. I didn't do any further shopping as I hunted for it. Up and down each aisle. After maybe 8-10 minutes and being disappointed I ran into what "appeared " to be a lower level employee sopping up a spill she had secured so no one would get hurt. ( yes I've worked with the public she SECURED the area ) I said I didn't have my glasses on and could she please direct me to the candy section as I was looking for candied ginger. When she looked up through her mask I saw two tired eyes with dark rings underneath. The natural tattoos of people who work hard long hours for little pay. I said just point me in the right direction. She did. I looked and looked but did not find it. THEN!!!!! Her name is "City?sp" and here she comes from ACROSS THE STORE with candied ginger. You see. One gives DIGNITY to the work they do. She had pride in her knowledge of the store and an inate desire to "help people". I told the manager about City but now I want to tell everyone because in a time when we are afraid to get close to people this lady saw a need and filled it. She was kind to an elderly person who sometimes feels alone and was seen as a human being. Thank you City. I know this sounds strange but at that time. At that place. You did good. Thank you. You are now a part of my brain's permanent memory. Merry Merry Christmas
