I am a DIY Female. I have 2 horrible experiences, 2 days apart.I am building custom cabinets. I took my Teen daughter with me, she's learning. We load our wood $2k+ worth, we are now in the trim aisle. I'm picking what I need, taking them to her and she's cutting them to manageable pieces (by our cut sheets). She had 2 cuts left...i grab the cut sheets to confirm the counts of the stack she had done, I'm at the end of the aisle. I hear a man say 'would you like me to do that for you so you don't hurt yourself?' i turn around and started pushing the cart toward her, and She said 'I got it.' And he just stood there. I said 'You should have asked her before she cut these 27 pieces!' . The guy literally walked away with his foot in his mouth.2 days later...I bought my husband an Ice Flaker (not from HD), the water lines provided were a different size to run through my RO system. I went to HD and grabbed what I thought I needed, wrong size. The next morning I returned the fitting and I took the lines with me, I needed a 'T' fitting. After attempting to locate what I knew I needed, an elderly man approached and offered help. I explained what I was doing, and he grabbed the exact fitting I purchased the previous night. I showed him how 2 lines were perfect but the 3rd into the 'T' was to big. I would need an adapter for that one fitting, and/or a 'T' that fit all 3. His first suggestion after he couldn't find the right 'T' was to stick a hose into that 'big' hole, put my hose inside and use electrical tape to hold the 2 together. I said I want it done right, not rig something that could possibly leak. His suggestion: 'Well then hire a plumber'. 'Why in the hell would I hire a plumber', I asked, 'I know what I need, can you not help me find the fitting?' I think you are trying to do what you can't, he said. I said 'do you know how much money I've spent here in the last 2 weeks, let alone 2 years, not my husband, ME. I've remodeled 2 homes, ME, not a contractor, not a plumber, not my husband, and I did it the right way, not by taping 2 hoses together to make do! He tells me 'well maybe you should hit a plumbing store then because i gave you my suggestion.' Yep, hire a plumber or tape 2 hoses together instead of the proper connector, no thanks, I don't need your help anymore!' (I attempted to speak with the 'acting' manager on duty on the phone while sitting in my car calming down, he was just as daft as the elderly man).I am getting to despise this store, the only time I seem to get seen as knowledgeable and/or capable is when I'm covered head to toe in saw dust/paint/cement/etc...if I/we stop in actually looking somewhat feminine, we are treated as if we wandered into the wrong store and need our hand held.Home Depot needs to train their male employees AND management that women are now capable of home improvement projects.

If I could give a negative rating I would. My daughter and son-in-law along with my 3 yr old granddaughter were racially profiled. As they were getting to the self check out there were 3 clerks standing by self check out when a clerk came up snatched their cart started scanning their items, never said anything, stuck her hand out for his debit card, put it in machine and picked option to bypass pin and handed his card back and walked off. Because they were raised by good parents they chose to walk away without making a scene. Being here mother and white and having gone through this for years with her father and I well it would have been very different before we left. My daughter called back spoke to manager who knew exactly who mistreated them and apologized extensively, said he would handle immediately. My opinion she should be fired. I'll never buy another thing from them.

Rented a box truck at 730pm and it was supposed to be returned at 9am. I was 30 minutes late so they charged me for a full day ($150) instead of two hours ($30). I literally left the truck there overnight because they close at 9 and we only drove like 4 miles. The guy at the counter was a complete ass and very rude. I will NEVER rent from this place again.

No one at this store was knowledgeable in special ordering custom bypass shower doors manufactured by Contractors Warehouse (which is a brand Home Depot represents).

I've shopped her for years. Occasionally, I went across the street to Lowes but ALWAYS regretted it. Also, while I like the customer service of an ACE hardware store, Home Depot always has the better price.

Hi, Just visited this store tonight at 1925hrs.. I needed to buy some replacement bulbs for my laundry room. I found the lights & the sign said they were on sale. "Yayyy!", right? Wrong, I said something to the clerk by my self-checkout register. He did not answer me, turned around, & continued doing whatever he was doing. He didn't even help when the register had trouble reading my card. He just stood there & stared at me. I moved registers & told another worker it was having trouble reading my card. She glared at me, then told the previous worker I had spoken too, "can you reset that register? He says his card won't work on it."-in what was clearly a condescending tone directed at me. Anyhow, I managed to get my card to work on the other register while also paying the full price of $24.95. I don't frequent Home Depot much & maybe that was some sort of members only price but that doesn't excuse the attitudes from the workers. Very unsettling to say the least & not sure I will frequent Home Depots anymore.

This particular Home Depot on Arizona Ave has the best customer service out of all the ones I've been to (and I been to a lot). Between my own house stuff and working in hvac I go to Home Depot at least 2-3 times a month. The staff at this one actually asks you if you need help with anything rather than looking the other direction when you approach them. They just got it down compared to the others. I was in the middle of a job and my shop vac failed that I got like 6 months ago and I needed one immediately. Jocelyn was at customer service and she took care of the issue immediately and professionally. I usually work in the Phoenix area but if I know I need to go to Home Depot I'll stop at this one.

Spent 20 mins on hold for them to tell me they had the product in stock and they had hands on it. After visiting 2 other Home Depot's I went to the other side of town to pick it up only to be told they have the one they "set aside" for me. When I got to the location we were told they just have it away and the other store might have it, go check there but they can't call because the other locations phones weren't working. They have no clue how much stock they have and lie because they don't care enough to actually check their shelves.

These folks are great. I rented a jackhammer and almost walked out with the wrong bit for breaking up concrete, but Pete made sure I didn't leave without the proper one. Very helpful and kind staff.

I went to this store on 8/22/22 and they were setting up their Halloween display. I've been trying to order a couple Halloween items with no luck since they sold out online. The employees at this store not only allowed me to purchase from their pallets but also helped me track down the product I was looking for! They were so kind and understanding and just went above and beyond. Thank you guys so much!

Stopped here after yoga and after having pizza in the area. Pam was so sweet as she went out of her way to help, whereas, other employees stood around chatting amongst one another as they watch me appear to be lost in search of cleaning supplies. Aiden was also awesome, as he came over to assist me. Pam and Aiden deserve raises for outstanding Customer Service

We bought some carpet and that went smoothly with the guy that helped us out. And I was very pleased with the installers that came yesterday to install the carpet. Very friendly and cleaned up everything before they left. Love it!
