Canyon de Chelly National Monument is a beautiful and amazing area with a wonderful, spectacular landscape. It features a magnificent canyon, dramatically deep areas, and mind-boggling ancient cliff dwelling ruins. Visitors enjoy walking and exploring, with a picnic area available. It is very close to I-40 and is a must-see. To fully experience the old legends and the canyon, it is essential to book a Navajo guide. Be prepared for a tricky situation with rough roads, so dress warmly. Getting to Spider Rock before sunset is highly recommended for the view. The welcome center provides a restroom.

You can book with an Indian guide and they will take you through the canyon. Many native structures in the cliff face.

Great place to start your exploration of the canyon. Not much in the way of merchandise but very friendly.
