Big 5 Sporting Goods is a large sporting goods store that offers about 11,000 square feet of products, including athletic shoes, apparel, accessories, and outdoor equipment. The store has a wide variety of items for team sports, fitness, camping, hunting, fishing, tennis, golf, winter and summer recreation, and roller sports. Customers appreciate the good prices, especially during sales, and find the selection of camping supplies and sporting goods to be decent and of good quality. The staff is friendly, helpful, and provides excellent customer service, often going out of their way to assist with special orders or product inquiries. The store is a good alternative to big retail chains like Walmart for those seeking sporting and athletic items. While most customers are satisfied, some mention limited options for specific products, such as backpacks without water reservoirs. Overall, Big 5 Sporting Goods is valued for its variety, reasonable prices, and helpful staff.
