I remember this spot as Rocket Fizz—That little candy/soda shop was a huge part of my childhood. ~> But UGH, I am SO glad it’s a Troub’s now!!
I don’t have a picture of the raw steak/beef cuts, but after a session with our charcoal grill, we’d sliced up a Ribeye & a NY Strip to 3 portions for my husband, my Nana, & myself. Everyone’s plate got some Ribeye filet & cap, and a big chunk of Strip. That Ribeye turned out so tender, it tried to fall apart after the cook—the fat was just THAT soft. **Troub’s brings the necessary solid foundation for the best steaks possible. The outcome speaks for itself - NANA CLEARED HER PLATE, SIDES AND ALL! She absolutely loved these steaks, and wants us to head back soon!! Compared to our usual butcher shops (where she’d end up saving 1/4–1/2 the steak for breakfast), I’d say Troub’s knows what they’re doing. 3 for 3, we loved these cuts. Thank you for the spectacular service ?”

“Love the selection of meats. My favorite is chicken tenders! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Since I cook for more than 1 person, I also appreciate that the cuts are equal in weight (or very close). This is the only place I buy meat now!”

“By far the best ribeyes we've had in the West Valley. Hamburger great quality too, and we always get pig ears for our doggie. The only thing that wasn't great last time was the corn on the cob - limited ears available due to Memorial Day weekend, and really shouldn't have been sold due to poor quality. Ours were mushy and inedible. But the meat is always top notch.”
“Stopped in to take a look small store limited but I did like it. They didn't have all prepped food ready ai got there kinda early but they did have Chile relleno . after trying I'm Texas being disappointed few times I don't order them much. My Tia rip made the best back in the day in Cali. These here delicious already been back twice. Great Taste spicy and fresh.”
“This place is very affordable and a very efficient. The moment you walk in someone is asking if you need help. They don't seem to have a lot of staff that speak English there but they understand enough to get you what you need. This is not a store to sho in, they do not sell other groceries just meat, this is just a butcher shop and a waiting and paying area only. They have a huge glass window to view all the staff cutting meat. The meat seems like good quality. For those of you using EBT, they recently announced that they no longer accept it, not sure if this is temporary. However I've been a customer now for 2 years and I am happy what the quality of the meat and the service I get.”

“I haven't tried the rest of the food, but the food (Fried Gortia) was real good. I might come by the 2nd time to try out their carnitas and other meat items to give my final review. But I did want to note that the reviews is consistent to the services. One of the ladies in the meat counter may have some personal bias towards English speaking anyone. I didn't took notice of it but it did felt like negative vibe coming from her. At first I wanted to order in English and gotten only a "QUE?!" response from her. Then I was using my 2nd language to get my food. No other audible tone came out of her mouth. So I can totally sense her not responding to English.I will confirm this next time I go back and if it's the same vibe, would be my last and just go back to Ranch Market.”
