“We picked up 5 pounds of some semi thin steak for some asada tacos we were making at home. They looked great with a little bit of marbling which is how we wanted them. They grilled up nicely after we marinated them ourselves. We didn't try any of the premade meats but they definitely passed the eye test. Small establishment and its very attentive employees. It wasn't busy when we arrived around 3:30. Typical carnicería. Didn't try the pan. I do recommend for asada and other meats. Give them a shot!”
“Great place most of the time, Have been there roughly 10 times, twice I have received tenderloin that was very poor quality. Normally, it is amazing, but when it's sub average and you have paid a premium, let's just say I remember, and it will be hard to forget. My 1st bad experience was buying there dry aged new York, I was encouraged to let them know what I thought about this new product for them, when I returned for another purchase, I felt lucky as the person who suggested I share my experience was helping me. My non positive opinion was very unwelcomed, So instead of doing the in person thing, this time I write here, 4 stars for 8 out of 10 positive experiences, Pondering now if 80% is good enough.”

I remember this spot as Rocket Fizz—That little candy/soda shop was a huge part of my childhood. ~> But UGH, I am SO glad it’s a Troub’s now!!
I don’t have a picture of the raw steak/beef cuts, but after a session with our charcoal grill, we’d sliced up a Ribeye & a NY Strip to 3 portions for my husband, my Nana, & myself. Everyone’s plate got some Ribeye filet & cap, and a big chunk of Strip. That Ribeye turned out so tender, it tried to fall apart after the cook—the fat was just THAT soft. **Troub’s brings the necessary solid foundation for the best steaks possible. The outcome speaks for itself - NANA CLEARED HER PLATE, SIDES AND ALL! She absolutely loved these steaks, and wants us to head back soon!! Compared to our usual butcher shops (where she’d end up saving 1/4–1/2 the steak for breakfast), I’d say Troub’s knows what they’re doing. 3 for 3, we loved these cuts. Thank you for the spectacular service ?”
