“I hesitate to review this little gem in the woods because I don't want it to get out how lovely, stylish, and comfortable Little America Hotel is. I stayed here as part of a conference. When I walked into the hotel lobby, which is also the entrance to the conference area, I was pleasantly surprised! The foyer and lobby area is gorgeous, offset by a huge stone fireplace that adds a rustic warmth to the lobby. The gift shop has unique, interesting, and well-crafted items, many of which are locally made. The conference facility is beautiful and the staff was professional, pleasant, and helpful. I experienced two meals offered as part of the conference: one was a buffet for a cocktail hour. I only tried a few items, deviled eggs and an asparagus bruschetta that was delicious! The bartenders were fun and friendly and fast! The breakfast was only average, but it hit the spot. The coffee was nice and hot and strong, which is not often the case at big events! My room? The size of a one-bedroom apartment. According to one employee, this hotel took advantage of the lockdown during the pandemic and completely remodeled the entire place. And it shows. My room had unique, rustic furniture but yet was updated, modern, and very comfortable. Another one of those "don't want to leave" walk-in showers made up a good portion of the bathroom. Honestly, it felt like a suite to me. Features in-room included quality coffees and a Keurig machine and even a steam iron for those pesky travel wrinkles! All of the lodge-like buildings are connected by a first-floor walkway that gets you back to the restaurant and lobby. You'll find a gym, and, I'm told, a hot tub, but I didn't think to bring a suit. I'm also told there is a nicely paved walking path throughout the property. My only complaint was the light meal I purchased for dinner from the restaurant. Drawing on the delicious bit of bruschetta I had during happy hour, I ordered an appetizer of assorted bruschetta. It was nothing like what I've had in the past (nor nothing like what I had during that conference happy hour). I was so disappointed b/c I was hungry and too tired to walk back to the restaurant to get something different. BUT, I'm sure other offerings in the restaurant, which focused on American-style fare, would have been better than what I chose. All in all? I'm putting this on my "must recommend" list for anyone visiting the Flagstaff area, and plan to come back, myself, for a longer stay.”

“We stay here every time we pass through Arizona on business. We absolutely love it! It’s so comfortable and spacious. One of the biggest things I look for is cleanliness, comfortable beds and nice bathroom area. I’m extremely satisfied on all points!”

“I recently stayed at the High Country Motor Lodge with high hopes, but unfortunately, it fell short of expectations. The lodge is advertised as a family-friendly spot with a nostalgic 1960s roadside vibe. While there were some positive aspects like the pleasant overall atmosphere and the unique options at The General Store, there were several disappointments. The rooms were worn down, the hot water wasn't functioning, and the housekeeping service was non-existent despite my requests. Additionally, the promised amenities and communal outdoor space were not accessible, and the outdoor heaters remained in disrepair despite assurances of being fixed. It's disappointing when a place with potential fails to deliver on its promises. At $350-400/night it just fell short. Better options at that price. Darn. I really wanted to like it.”

“This place deserves some major 5 Star ⭐️ recognition! I would highly recommend giving this quirky place a shot, you won’t regret it! The staff is by far the friendliest hotel staff I’ve ever encountered. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome! The room itself although on the small side is super clean and fun with funky lamps and a disco ball which was a great touch! The grounds are meticulously maintained. They have a heated pool, fire pit area and fun lawn activities. They also have a dog park which is a fabulous add on for our fur babies!! Don’t let the “road side motel” full you. It’s super safe and so comfortable. Lastly! Don’t forget to stop at Baja Mar for their shrimp quesadillas and tacos! We will 100% be back for sure!Rooms: Small but everything you need and very comfortableSafety: Added security and well litFood & drinks: Great options in the lobby non alcoholic and alcoholic beverages are offered.”

“I come to Flagstaff pretty regularly during the winter to ski at AZ Snowbowl and always stay at the Drury Inn. The hotel is kept immaculately clean and room cleaning is truly excellent (clean hotels are very important to me). From the front desk staff to the food servers to the cleaning staff, everyone is professional and friendly. But the thing that really seals the deal is the value. For a little over $100, you get a modern hotel, a very comfortable bed, breakfast (buffet style usually with eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, waffles, juices, coffee, etc.), dinner (buffet style, food changes daily), and three cocktails. Were I to go to IHOP for breakfast and McDonalds for dinner, it would cost me at least another $25 and I still wouldn't get my three free drinks. Simply put, Drury Inn Flagstaff gets it and does it superbly.Rooms: Spacious, modern, comfy bed, clean.Nearby activities: Walking distance to downtown Flag and about 25 minutes from AZ Snowbowl for skiing.Walkability: Walking distance to downtown Flagstaff with its restaurants, bars and shopping.”

“Hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. Nice morning breakfast. Only thing I was disappointed in was the parking charge that was not mentioned when making the reservation. Seemed odd to be charged this based on the location of the hotel.Food & drinks: Complimentary breakfast was good.”

“Came here for a family trip. Check in was friendly and fast, I got a great rate, no deposit or issues. The rooms are clean, and updated. The beds are firm and comfortable. The indoor heated pool and hot tub are perfect, and it’s located right across the street from NAU and very close to downtown Flagstaff. I will definitely consider staying here again.”

“This place is amazing, our room was spic and span clean. Smells fresh and new. The room and location was wonderful. We have a little pup, the room the halls everything fresh and clean. So impressive, the staff was great. Amanda was our room attendant hats off to her. It's too bad that people who own a dog, don't realize that you have to buy poop bags and USE THEM, to pick up after your animals‼‼ The property and setting is just beautiful, but folks with dogs who are not responsible cleaning up after them, same people who probably litter, or are just trashy folks. It really does affect folks who don't even have pets. Kudos to the staff that have a daily role in picking up dog poop from the guests that stay here, who DONT clean up after their”

“I felt like we were thrown in the dungeon. The room was the only room in the back by the employees entrance. To get to the room we had go across the bar to the back room. I felt totally isolated and unsafe. No wifi service or TV. Then there was no hot water, had to take a shower in cold water with 29 degree weather. The heater did not work. Don’t get me started on the poor service at Charley’s Pub. We waited for 30 minutes before someone asked how we were doing. No acknowledgement by the server, she just kept walking by several times. I finally tracked down the manager and all he could say “we are busy”. As a paying customer did not want to hear that his lack of staffing is my issue. He should’ve taken ownership for his lack of staffing. Not once did he apologize or take initiative for his mishap. To be honest I thought the small town feel would be a better experience. I live in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area and can say that we have been treated as poorly as we did at Weatherford Hotel. I would never return to Flagstaff nor recommend Weatherford Hotel to anyone.Rooms: No hot water, WiFi, or TV serviceSafety: Felt unsafe and isolatedFood & drinks: Poor service at Charley’s Pub”

“Great hotel that was clean and fairly well located in a just outside of Downtown location. Free Parking. My only gripe was that the coffee was kind of expensive. And Marriott Courtyard’s often serve decent coffee all day. But hey ho.”

“Best Western quality, rooms are outdated but they had everything we needed except a hair dryer. Staff was nice, breakfast selection was really good, train noise was prominent but didn't really keep us from enjoying our stay.”

“Cute boutique motel. Rooms are revamped and vintage style, it's cute, nice finishing touches. It's what I'd expect with a high traffic, mountain destination, college town hotel. The price was decent, can't complain. Plus their lobby, bar restaurant and lounge area is decorated nice and pretty much has everything you need if you didn't want leave the premises. Coffee, cocktails, food. Plus it's within walking distance to many places. There were a couple minor tweaks that could be made- floor swept especially by bed and under bed, they provide shampoo, conditioner and body wash attached to the shower wall but our body wash was completely empty, neighbors played music until 2 am and we could hear it all night through our wall, and also smelled like they were smoking. But overall the motel itself was worth the value we paid. We also stayed Tuesday- Wednesday not weekend prices.”

“Customer service went above and beyond. This hotel is located at a very convenient location near the interstate and other attractions. The rooms are very spacious and clean with a great view of the mountains and the front desk was friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was top-notch with different selections with plenty of parking and is a great place for family and friends.”

“I stay at Holiday Inns often and I'll say this one is alright, comparatively. The room I have doesn't have a full length mirror which, I find is needed for work trips. The few times I've stayed here, the rooms havent been equipped with the standard make up wipes, soap, lotions ect.The hallway through the night was pretty loud.Usually when I ask if there is complementary water upon arrival, there is... but this one points you towards their store. The staff is nice enough but nothing extra. The location is good, but I don't think it's walking distance from much of anything. For work, this stay is satisfactory. It's a good stay but not the best I've been to. Oh, it is the only one I've stayed at that has a parking fee. Not cool. That being said, the room is clean, the beds are comfortable and there is plenty of room. The breakfast is pretty good as well!”

“We've stayed here twice and throughly enjoyed our stays. There are wine options of an evening across from the front counter. Our favorite part is that this HGI sources its bacon locally and it is thick and tasty. Best bacon of ANY Hilton property. Come for the location, stay for the bacon! One minor quibble: only one elevator.”

“tl;dr - I recommend Basecamp at Snowbowl as a no frills, just-right option for folks that want a comfy room with great food (dinner only) and close proximity to Snowbowl. Great location, great staff, great food, good price. Bring a cooler and earplugs and find breakfast elsewhere.I stayed Basecamp late-February 2024 for two nights - a Monday and TuesdayPros:The room was clean and super comfy. You are amazingly close to the mountain - 16 minutes to the lifts. The check-in process, and the process to get your lift passes was very smooth and the staff was super helpful (thanks, Cameron for all the information about the mountain and helping get me squared away on the promo codes!).The Restaurant is fantastic - 5 ⭐s. The Arizona Cheesesteak and Cowboy Burger were both great after a day on the hill. It was a super chill environment to round out the day (thanks, Shea for the hospitality and the information about the upper bowl!).The room cost + lift ticket is a great deal. Prices surge on the mountain and to have package that allows to get a "free" pass is great. Apply your promo code to your card (See Cameron above☝️) when you purchase it and you are good to go.Cons:There is no fridge in the room. Plan ahead and bring a cooler with you for keeping any food/drinks cold. (Side note: Basecamp, please offer a breakfast food/coffee option for folks going up the hill. That would be amazing!)The walls are thin. You share a wall with the cabin next to you. Sometimes that means you need to listen to the dude next to you snore and depending on which room you get you might be along a road. If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs. The gas fireplace in the room was pretty loud. When it kicked on/off it would clank and wake me up. Again, if you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs.A ways away from Flagstaff city center if that's your thing. Between the restaurant and the Maverick station 5 minutes up the road, I had everything I needed.Rooms: Clean room and a super comfy bed.Thin walls so you can hear your neighbor. No fridge.Nearby activities: Super close to Snowbowl. 15-20 minutes from your room to the lifts is awesome.Food & drinks: Restaurant and the staff are great.”

“We had to stay here due to a plumbing issue at our place. The city of Flagstaff put us at Sonesta ES Suites. We were in two 2-room suites. We had all the luxuries of home. We had a stove and oven, refrigerator, and even a dishwasher. The separation of the 2 rooms was great for privacy. Each room in the suites had their own bathroom as well, which was also great. The kids loved the hot breakfast each morning. The only complaint I have about that is they had a little station for breakfast burritos, but I never saw any tortillas.?The staff was also very friendly and helpful. I only wish we had stayed during the summer when the pool was open since it was closed for the winter. Next time we need to stay at a hotel we'll definitely remember Sonesta!”

“The room we stayed in was nice. The amenities were updated better than what was expected considering the outside appearance. The pillows were soft and the bed felt new and plush, Again, not what I expected when we pulled up. After my wife told me it was $80 a night while walking up the stairs to the 2nd floor, I was like, "looks about right", then I saw the room and felt the bed. Smokin price considering the cost of things now days. Would have not flintched if she told me it was $150 a night, that's how comfortable the bed was. They did have breakfast available. Toast, bread, cereals, juices, and two hot items that were a breakfast burrito (which was pretty good) and a sausage English muffin sandwich. Would stay again at this location.”

“The bed was very comfortable and the staff was friendly! The coffee tasted amazing. Our only complaint was that there is no comforter on the bed, only a very thin blanket. It’s cold in the winter and the heater is too loud to keep it on all night. Luckily we brought our sleeping bags and were very cozy!”

“I can’t say enough great things about this hotel. Greg the employee/gm was a joy to work with. His customer service was top notch. I was able to park my truck and (BIG) trailer in their lot with Greg’s help and that was just the beginning. The rooms are awesome!! Two big beds, tons of room, a nice big night stand, microwave, big normal size fridge!! Every time I’m coming through flagstaff this will be the new stopping location. Come check it out for yourself!! Thanks again.”
