O'Neil Park is a very nice park with a lot to do. It features a fun splash pad and water features for kids, though the floor can get hot. There are two playgrounds, one for little kids and another for older kids, with classics and plenty of space. The wide open park includes a big green field, basketball courts, tennis courts, a soccer field, and a pavilion. It has beautiful, massive historic trees and several shady picnic areas next to a romantic lake. The rec center is a plus. However, the restrooms are often nasty and mostly locked, with only one open sometimes. The park is in the middle of a rough neighborhood with some Riff Raff locals, but it is pleasant during the day and police come often. It is leash-only for dogs, with a small fenced area.
