Wells Fargo Bank receives mixed reviews highlighting significant inconsistencies in customer service and staffing. Several customers report branches being short staffed, with long lines and limited availability for appointments, sometimes scheduled weeks out. Experiences with individual employees vary drastically; some staff members are described as cold, unhelpful, and unwilling to assist, leaving customers feeling upset and ignored. This includes situations where customers are turned away despite having appointments that do not appear on the schedule, wasting their time and gas. However, other reviews praise specific bankers for being kind, patient, and exceptionally helpful during difficult moments. These employees are noted for lifting customers' spirits, providing tissues, and taking the time to thoroughly walk them through processes like opening accounts or setting up online banking. Conversely, significant frustration is reported regarding account fees, with customers feeling they receive no help from customer service or branch staff when disputing charges, leading some to close long-held accounts. The overall impression is of a bank where the quality of service depends heavily on which employee a customer encounters, amid widespread operational challenges.

Brandie Lopez, branch manager at 91st/Glendale, is very knowledgeable and helpful. She quickly identified and resolved two “missing” statements caused by WF bank. Brandie promptly called and explained the situation to my client’s Lender. Two thumbs up for her extraordinary efforts and professionalism.
