Had a reservation for an SUV, I am a preferred member and kindly asked for a upgrade. Rep replied in a snarky tone, "well you if made your reservation sooner and we are NOT the airport, we don't have a garage full of cars". I was floored at her response, I didn't say anything else but thank you and excepted my keys. This is not the way you speak to customers.

This Budget location at Hampton Inn and Suites in Goodyear AZ. They are super fast and very friendly... I have rented from them a couple of times now. Vehicles were clean and they have a variety to choose from if need be. It's convenient being near the I-10 and they have a key drop off if you need to return after hours or before it opens. I was happy with there services goodwork ladies..?

Kathy was really pleasant as well as the gentleman working in the lot when I picked up the rental. The car itself was mediocre and ended up having some mechanical issues, but that's not their fault if people don't let them know. It's a convenient location with a much easier pick-up process than the airport. Just make sure that you're happy with your car before you go!

Budget has a training issues between their local office and the 800 number. I prepaid for a car for mexico and customer service advised me to buy the mexico car insurance at the local office. I reconfirmed my trip the day before and local office said they didn’t issue the car insurance, but customer service said they did and insisted I keep the reservation and call customer service once I get to the office. Of course that was a fail, local office no longer provided that service. I had to cancel and get a refund. I got a full refund; I wish I could get my time back.

Worst car rental experience ever, especially this location. Worst customer service and their machines are not up-to-date they only do swipe.

Worst car rental experience ever and I'm sure it's not over.Office is independently owned and runs out of a small office in a hotel. Show up on a Saturday in time to pick up rental, red sign on the door said "back in 5 mins". As I waited 3 other customers showed up and we all waited 22mins total, hotel staff does not help locate the Budget rep. The young lady did not even acknowledge we had been waiting for her. The rental car had not been cleaned, the windshield wiper fluid was empty which I realized after driving on the I-15 . The next day we get dashboard lights and low tire pressure alerts.. I was out of state alone with my daughter and had to wait till morning to leave so I could have the tires checked. They charged me twice for rental, didn't care about car troubles or lack of customer service. NEVER RENT FROM BUDGET AND ESPECIALLY THIS LOCATION!!

Made a reservation and then came in the next day to pick it up for a trip and they had no cars. So I was out of luck as they put it. Horrible service!!! And it was there fault for not having a car and they offered no way to make this right. I would say save yourself time and go some where else.

Absolutely terrible! Do not recommend this budget location at all!First, the employee was uninviting, she is the only employee.I returned the car before 5 pm , at 4:45 pm and asked if she need anything, she said no. She still charged me extra hour. Felt like she did purposely. I have to call customer service and on the phone for hour to get refund.

Absolutely terrible! Do not recommend this budget location at all! There are other car rental locations in the nearby area that are by far more worth going to! They are unfair in there policy and selective…they would not allow “me” to get the rental car that we pre-ordered with my debit card. My son dropped me off so I was left stranded at the location and they made my wife who was not feeling well get out of bed and drive 30 minutes in order to use the credit card that she reserved ahead of time. Sure, they can try and hide behind policy but it’s a bunch of bull. By the way, it was the store manager who engaged this terrible and careless customer service. Won’t be using them again and don’t recommend this place at all!

Not good at careful accountability. Yes this place is cheap, but they will get you by charging you thousands of dollars for damage that may not be yours. They will be friendly, take the car, and months later you will be contacted by a debt collector. Not right be careful here.

I rental here for traveling for work. The only complaint is the cars need to be cleaned thoroughly after each use. I have to clean the cars myself after picking it up at this location. You would think with COVID going around this wouldn't be an issue.

Rented an intermediate suv. Picked it up yesterday less than an hour before they closed. Upon getting in the vehicle I noted the front drivers side appeared not clean. I figured I 'd wipe it down when I got home. Once home I got out and took a better look, the car was quite dirty. Food splashes on the seats, front and back and up the back of the passenger seat. Residue and crumbs in the cup holders. Fingerprints and residue all over the door side window controls. And to our surprise, what appears to be a pair of children's underwear tucked in the pocket. Yep, underwear. We tried to call, it was still 15 min before 2pm but no one answered. So bringing back today..Update: We went back to the Avis at the Hampton Inn, the lady at the counter, albeit pleasant, kept saying "Well I wasn't here yesterday so I don't know what happened". She then advised us that Avis doesn't check the cars to see if things like underwear are left in the pockets and such. Yes.. she said literally "Oh we don't check those kind of things".She gave us keys to another suv, we went out, opened the doors, took one look at the unvacuumed floors, food debris and trash and promptly closed the doors and headed back in. She again said "I wasn't here yesterday, so I don't know what happened. Then said "But it was the same guy who cleaned all the cars. I guess I'll be having a word with him." We are leaving today so we decided to try one more car before walking away and trying to find another rental last minute. We get the keys to another suv. This one also was not cleaned but it was doable, we checked for stray underwear first. We grabbed the lysol wipes and wiped down the entire dash, doors and seats as there was crumbs and drink residue in the cup holders, the front passenger seat had food crumbs on it and a smear of.. something, back seat had some kind of smudge on it, the trunk had debris and crumbs and general untidiness. We will end up returning the suv cleaner than when we rented it. She did not really offer anything other than "well I wasn't here yesterday so I don't know what happened". So we will be calling Avis today to go over everything with them.

This Avis Outpost, charged me for a two day rental, luckily I had my gas receipt that had time and date I refilled and also my Uber record that I had departed the location at the time I said. I didn't find out about the charge till it appeared on my credit card statement. Hard to believe that a company would allow this type of behavior.
