The Colonade Motel offers a unique experience for its guests, with a mix of positive and negative aspects. The property is managed by old staff who are skilled at maintaining the grounds and catering to their tenants. While guests have not reported any issues with pests like roaches or bed bugs, the rooms are described as "disgusting, old, and basic," with a shocking price tag. The motel has a concerning reputation, as it is known to provide refuge for individuals with mental health challenges, often through voucher programs. However, this has led to an environment plagued by noise, harassment, and a lack of proper maintenance. Guests have reported the presence of black mold in some rooms, as well as leaking air conditioning units and filthy carpets. The motel's proximity to public transportation and nearby amenities, such as Fry's, 99 Cents Only, and Circle K, is a positive aspect. However, the surrounding area is described as being inhabited by "very questionable individuals" engaged in "very questionable, strange activities," raising concerns about the safety and security of the property. Overall, the Colonade Motel seems to be a complex and challenging environment, with both positive and negative elements. While the staff may be skilled at managing the property, the overall condition and safety concerns suggest that guests should approach this motel with caution and carefully consider their needs and expectations.
Your experience is what you make of it just the same anywhere else. Their are new cleaners managing the rooms, the management are old and are very good at minding the grounds and also tenants. Never saw a roach or bed bug, but then again I don’t check in to stay up tweaking.
