Zia Records in Mesa, established in 1980, has become a beloved part of Arizona’s music and entertainment scene. With eight stores across Phoenix, Tucson, and Las Vegas, it remains a go-to place for vinyl records, movies, collectibles, and more. Customers appreciate the wide selection of vinyl records, including rare and original pressings, often not found elsewhere. Many visitors find the store neatly organized and enjoy feeling the music in their hands, viewing it as a real, tangible connection to the music world. The staff is generally friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere for music lovers. However, some customers have experienced less positive interactions, especially when selling records, citing issues with attitude or customer service. Despite this, Zia Records continues to attract fans who value the physical experience of browsing for music and movies in person. It is considered a special place where music feels alive and real, offering a unique shopping experience that online stores cannot replace. Overall, Zia Records remains an important spot for collectors and music enthusiasts in the area.
I come here a lot. Good prices and I’ve found very rare records and movies. Best record store in the country. All kinds of crap too if you don’t want to buy music. They also have imported albums and lesser known new releases. It’s big and nobody bothers you.
