“TL;DR a vet at VCA OV went against standard procedures to accommodate us.Back in 2021, my dog was bit by a dog we knew. The bite mark showed signs of infection. One way or another, we called VCA OV for an appointment.We had gotten our dog in early 2020 and hadn't gone the extra mile to work on socializing. When the vet tech went to take our dog, he told us he was uncomfortable in posture and tone.I asked if we could go back, but weren't allowed due to the circumstances of 2020. I asked if we could waive having him taken back unaccompanied, to be weighed. We knew his weight and asked for the meds to be prescribed off of our word.The vet agreed, and that has never been lost on me that they really helped us out when they didn't have to.”

“Really nice receptionist. There was a a very small wait. They checked in on us constantly until the tech saw us. The vet tech Cat (not sure how she spells it) herself was amazing we felt as though she knew what she was doing. She gave advice which came from her own life experiences and professional experience. She was overall very friendly and knowledgeable. The vet Dr. Carson herself was also very professional and really amazing. Every issue we brought up with our pets was addressed in an open dialogue. The vet and the tech even discussed all of the options with us and actively tried to find cheaper solutions. They really seemed like a team. I feel very comfortable taking my pets there for anything. We had a great experience and would recommend this clinic to anyone. P.S: love that they took profile pics of our pets.”

My dog's Vet (Collins) and her vet tech are both terrific, personable, and not prone to rushing you in and out. They both took time to answer a number of questions I had about caring for, and training, a middle-aged adopted pooch.There are some logistical inconveniences for me, but i have great confidence in the staff and will continue to take my dog there.”
