“Kindred Spirits offers a wonderful service. My malamute, Olly was diagnosed with bone cancer and declined fast. I made an appointment with Dr. Barrett to come to the office. On the day of the appointment, I decided it was too traumatic to transport Olly. Dr. Barrett and her assistant compassionately accommodated me and rescheduled to come to my location.
I was nervous about the procedure, but it was a very peaceful experience from the moment they arrived. Dr. Barrett was very patient and made sure we were ready to proceed with each step. She was very gentle performing the steps, and I had complete confidence in her. Olly passed without any stress, and they took his body away and I knew he was in the care of loving hands. I chose not to receive any remains, and she let me know that her and her family spread the ashes of all the pets that they help if not returned to the owner.
They also gave me a booklet to read on how to cope with the grief of losing a pet which was very helpful. I highly recommend Kindred Spirits.”

They all took extremely good care of him, and were always kind and compassionate. The staff here are phenomenal, and they do a great job showing they care about animals. When it came time to say goodbye, they made it comfortable and showed incredible bedside manner and care, making an unbearable day as peaceful as it could be. “We have been taking our dogs and cats to Dr. Nunn and the Suffolk Hills Pet Clinic staff for many years. It is always a pleasure and yesterday was wonderful. Our dog Benny had been very ill since the first of the month. Within a few minutes of talking with Dr. Nunn the illness was diagnosed and a injection was given. “Shout out to Jessica, who on my very first phone call to the clinic spent 38 minutes with me on the phone discussing every single concern I have about my cat. She is even knowledgeable in blood chemistry which is not common usually to have someone who answers the phone in reception to have this background. She also has knowledge in different sedatives that would be helpful to calm my cat who becomes a demon at a veterinary clinic. Lastly, she gave me concrete price estimates right over the phone, which I appreciated. I'm very impressed with her knowledge, caring disposition and patience and that is why I made an appointment. If my visit turns out anything close to the treatment I received from Jessica over the phone then I will be ecstatic.
Edit: I have been going to this clinic ever since. Dr. Upchurch is experienced and even more so for the sheer fact that she sees only cats so she has that much more exposure to feline ailments. She has diagnosed my cat with pemphigus foliaceus, which is extremely rare but she had a hunch right away what it was and knew what tests to order to get a confirmation. Ive seen people online go on for months with undiagnosed pemphigus on their cats because the vets don't know what they are looking at. Thanks to Dr. Upchurch, I was not one of those unfortunate people and my cat got relief very quickly.
She also just diagnosed my other cat with feline resorptive lesions. I am so lucky have Dr. Upchurch as my vet.
One of my cats is a screamer and turns into the hulk at the vet. Dr. Upchurch is the only one that knows how to handle him properly. Every other vet that I have seen struggles handling my difficult cat but Dr. Upchurch has a special touch and she just knows how to handle them.
In addition, her prices are reasonable and cheaper than other vets.
I still strongly recommend this clinic.”

“My Quarter Horse gelding had a 7.8 cm bladder stone removed. Dr Mackenzie Luick was the amazing surgeon. She talked to us before the surgery & answered all our questions. While we were observing surgery through window she pointed out the stone on their tablet. She talked to us after the surgery & let us know when he was on his feet. Dr. Luick has kept me informed on my horse's condition every day he was there. Dr. Luick is dedicated, competent and goes above & beyond. Her staff are friendly. I am so glad we had Jackpot do the surgery.”

“When the normal Vet was not available for my BF’s Mother’s declining pitbull, a beloved family protector, we were recommended (& remembered we visited before) this clinic.
All the staff working on Feb 9th were professional and compassionate. Especially when I accidentally overreacted while carrying our big girl.(I will never be apologetic enough for that.) Explanations were detailed and understandable. Options were given and discussed in that same manner.
Even though we ultimately lost our battle with our protector, we were given the time and empathy needed to process this experience.
With that said and done, I have no qualms in recommending this clinic.”
