Two hour + line in Phoenix Airport car rental center -- after a very confusing trip getting there. Fastbreak didn't work for everyone. Tried to use the link to photograph the license plate, didn't work. Wasted an hour trying to get help. Drove to the exit and was told good to go. Received a text and email that we missed our reservation and lost our near $800 pre-pay. Contacted customer service and told had to take the SUV to a rental location to fix the situation. Wasted most of the morning of first day of vacation to get situation fixed. Agent confirmed we would get $100 Amazon gift card. Ended up being only 5% of the rental. More expensive and less choice than other rental companies, but the $100 gift card would have brought it close and thought we could avoid the lines. Today I was told I should get an email or phone call to discuss with marketing team. Pending that outcome, I will leave another review.

The Budget counter at the airport must have had 75 people in line. I was in line for an hour before I even got to the zig zag rope line. I signed up for their Fastbreak program while waiting in line and went downstairs to see if I could get a car that way. There were another 50 people in line there and ZERO cars available. The people in line were waiting for a car to be returned!I estimated I would be waiting 4 to 6 hours for a car and gave up. Went to another rent a car company and drove off in about 20 minutes total.I will never, ever reserve or rent a car from Budget again.

Nowhere on the website before you decide to pay do they disclose a deposit is required. When you get there the employee does not know where it is stated on the website. It is also nowhere on the rental contract.There is a printed sign posted from 2021 inside. In 2 years they could not update their website to be truthful. Who knows if it really is refundable.

1 person working the counter. 45 mins to get to the front, only to stand in another line to get the car for 2 hours. HORRIBLY BAD.

Pretty bad customer service - in person & their phone reps. All they needed to do was take accountability for customer service providing false info which subsequently caused many issues… but instead, the person here just wanted to argue back and forth instead of hearing me and try to verify my info I’m saying.But that’s ok :) as promised to them when they wouldn’t help, reports with the BBB have been filed which will force budget to pull the calls and hear their reps lying to us… Budget could have fixed this in person when i showed up…but chose not to, but that’s ok, we’ll play ball too since they apparently like games.

TERRIBLE customer service. Complete trash and have fun arguing your invoice that’s wrong - also don’t rely on recorded calls to their customer service bc this location will tell you “well word from customer service isn’t a promise” - ha ok.. such a joke of a company

Great service, affordable costs, and clean vehicle. Check in and check out was quick and easy. I was given the Mazda CX 5 and it was nice and clean and ran smoothly highly recommend

I ran into trouble originally when I went to pick the car up at another location they had no rentals. When there my pick up point was changed for me but I lost my discount. With help from customer service I was taken care of and the new pickup location was very friendly I had no trouble at the pick up. I had a little trouble getting gas on my way to return the car because the gas station I planed to use was closed causing me to be maybe 15 min late but it was no problem. I was charged exactly what I anticipated and all is well

Great, not just good, but, GREAT experience! I needed a short term car rental as my car was at a local dealership. I selected Avis/Budget Car rental initially because of its low rates. However, the service was excellent, also. I had selected an economy car, but, when I arrived, Budget had none available, so, I was upgraded to a new Chevrolet Malibu at no additional charge! Sure, other car rental facilities do this, BUT, other car facilities also ask for proof of full coverage EVEN IF it is an economy car (this happened to me i n December, 2022, while I tried to rent a car from Enterprise Rent A Car in South Phoenix ). The Malibu worked very well, the price was awesome and Kayla of Avis/Budget was helpful. This is why I wrote, GREAT experience!

This location is a dump. Their credit card scanner is literally built in to their keyboard from 1992 and won't read most cards and they can't manually type the card in. My rental car reeked of smoke and had lipstick and some sort of mystery goo all over the car. Dust all over the air vents. Dings and chips in the paint of the bumper. They gave me a car that wasn't in the category that I had requested. The rental car industry as a whole is in serious need of a transformation but this was literally the epitome of it. Budget's new rewards program is a joke. This location is a trailer and the employees admitted that only 1 of their AC units work and corporate won't replace it and they pretty much melt from the heat during the summer. Traditional rental car companies will be probably be the next Blockbuster or Toys R Us if they don't get with the times.

Had a smooth checkin and checkout with them. They upgraded us to an SUV which made our road trip even better.Were very patient at the time of checkin when we were having some issues.Rates better than the budget at the airport

Great experience with this office, I couldn't be happier, very very nice people, clean office, great car!Needed another car due to personal car dead, once again absolutely a great experience, staff couldn't be nicer. Also these guys that run this franchise are amazing! They absolutely helped us out when we needed it. Totally went above and beyond to get us a car. I value this location and this staff immensely.

My husband had to go here with an Uber from another car rental place that had cars in terrible condition the lady was extremely helpful gave us a discount and got us a great car Clean reliable affordable they saved us when we was in a bind

This place is wonderful, each time we went in or called they did everything to accommodate us. The staff is truly magic! I'm so greatful for these guys. We have been in a bind getting our own truck repaired and they reall stepped up to make our life just a little less stressful and easier.
