This Hilton location was mostly filled with illegal immigrant children mostly. While I was in the lobby , I was approached by a few young females with red tickets that were used for a free buffet meal offered by the hotel. When I asked about this buffet in the hotel restaurant, I was told to go to the Asian buffet across the parking lot. If you are thinking of staying here. DON'T!!! I was placed in a so-called upgrade that the maintenance man had to come and turn off the heater and turn on the air conditioner. REAL UPGRADE BLAST TO THE PAST!!! The illegal immigrants were in the rooms that had this upgrade. STAY AWAY!!!!!! Room full of flies awful smell from shower.

The hotel is obviously old, the "fan" that helped cool our room was quite loud, and the pocket door that separated the shower and toilet was difficult to operate and very noisy as well. The pool was closed for remodel, and we only found out when looking at the website after landing in Phoenix. We ended up canceling our second and third night and moved to a hotel in Glendale due to this alone. The only reason it's not a 2-star review, is the staff. They were accommodating and friendly at all times. Some of the best customer service I've ever had at a hotel.

Worst hotel we have ever stayed. I want to rate it 0 star. We found cockroach in our bathroom. The hair dryer was old and dirty. It was like a motel. We can hear the laundry noise above our room all night long. We had to change our travel plan and checked out early. The hotel was old and disgusting. We had to move out early and change our plan. This hotel was in the worst condition. I can’t believe it is Hilton hotel.

The floors were sticky the pipes in the shower were loose and rattling. I’ve stayed in crappy motels better. The pool was closed which was a big part of staying there with my daughter. When I tried to cancel our second night the desk wouldn’t cancel it. Embarrassing hotel for Hilton.

Just. No. Out of date. Over priced. Under staffed. Bad service. A lot of government contracts. Plenty of hotels that do not charge 250.00 a night in the area...and they provide a microwave...Rooms: They need to be updated.Safety: Infrastructure is aging. A lot of petty crime in the area.

Stayed here this weekend. It looks like the building needs a complete remodel - dirty, dingy, and unimpressive. My room was ok but very old and in need of a renovation. Not worth the price I paid.

Absolutely do NOT stay here. Honestly Hilton should do a quality check on this hotel because I’m shocked it’s allowed to be franchised. Pretty much this is a lipstick on a pig situation. Stayed here for work because of proximity. Got to the hotel, the area surrounding is very sketchy and there was a security guard. Took 10 minutes to get checked in because their system was not working with credit card check out for someone to buy a snack… just give the person the snack and move on. Then got to my room, there was cigarette burns in the carpet and smelled like mildew. Went downstairs to change rooms, got into second room less mildewy and was 11pm so just decided to stay. There was mold in the shower. The AC doesn’t stop running so loud all night. Overall this place is dingy. I’m pretty sure I could have found a nicer motel 6 somewhere. And I just got home and have bug bites on my ankles.Rooms: DingyNearby activities: NoneSafety: Security guard at check in so I doubt it’s that safe.Walkability: Only walking distance to chain restarauntsFood & drinks: TerribleNoteworthy details: Do not stay here

PASS. DON’T STAY HERE. IT IS NOT WORTH THE DISCOMFORT OR MONEY. I recently stayed at this hotel for an entire week and I could barely stand my room due to its smell. I could not tell if the stench was from the old and dirty-looking carpet, years of smoking in the room, mildew somewhere hidden in the walls, or perhaps all of the above. I really wanted to change rooms, but the hotel was completely sold out, so I knew there were no other options. The air was very noisy when on because the unit is old. I also noticed one morning that there was a leak in the lobby area close to the front desk. The staff was aware of it, but no one put anything under the leak to catch the water. It did happen to rain almost the entire week I was there and the hotel likely needs a new roof. The hotel is surrounded by seemingly good restaurants, but there are too many homeless people passed out, on drugs, or walking around aimlessly. However, I did notice that the hotel and many of the surrounding businesses use their own security outside. I think the homeless people like that area because restaurants probably throw out a lot of food every day. I don’t mind an old hotel as long as it is clean and safe. However, this hotel has seen better days and is not up to par with the other Double Tree Hotels I have stayed in before. To be fair, I think my bed was very clean. However, I wore flip-flops so that my feet would not touch the carpet. I also found the breakfast buffet to always be good on the first floor. The main area on the first floor has relatively new furniture, but the rest of the hotel is extremely outdated and desperately needs a remodel.

We stayed at Double tree North for a short visit during 26-28th. We and our two young children have to catch early flight on Sunday morning (6:30ish). However, on Saturday night, we heard very loud music (almost feel like there is a night club in the hotel). I would not recommend staying at this hotel if you need to catch early flight or staying with children over the weekend. The room is just alright, carpet smells and bathroom is not updated.

Excellent hotel. Fairly good shape and maintained. Rooms, at least the one I had, could use a makeover … carpet was old. The bathrooms could use towel holders/racks … there was none. I ate before I arrived so I can’t comment on the dining service or area. The hotel service itself was superb and very pleasant to have a conversation. If it rains, be careful, the floors, inside and outside, are very slick. I had some morons talking and joking around outside of my room at 3:00am and no one was doing anything about the loud inconsiderate mindless raucous … I wasn’t to pleased.
