unfortunately bad experience from the start, it took about 3x to convince front desk about a confirmed 2 nights reservation which was showing cancelled in their system and they kept telling us to go back to our 3rd party booking service (in this case it was through Chase travel) finally one of the front desk person checked an internal system to confirm that indeed the booking was still active ? (maybe they should’ve checked that system from the start?)
Room 215 is suuuuper dirty (I think their vacuum doesn’t work?) old with visible stains everywhere, the phone room is disconnected because there is no support they could offer unless you walk down to the lobby front desk (ie to ask for extra bedding/bath towels), the coffee machine came with the wrong filter holder
we also had other family members stay at this same hotel with confirmation of 2 queens but they only had 1 king to offer so they had to book an additional room
gave 2 stars for the free breakfast and convenient location and it’s probably more appropriately categorized as below 3 star
definitely will not stay here again, this gives rest of Hyatt brand a bad rep - so sad ?

Reserved 2 months in advance. I get there at 3:30 my room isnt reaady. I had to wait 45 mins for a room. They took a $50 deposit for each night. Takes a long time to get your deposit back . Clean rooms but service was awful. I will never go back.

After arriving in Phoenix, we tried Extended Stay America only to be greeted with a room with no AC and a desk clerk that would do nothing for us. So I booked a room at Hyatt Place and was warmly greeted by Scott who proceeded to get us all set up. Great room!! The price was in par with the other brands price-wise, but delivered so much more in every category. Scott is by far and away the best front desk clerk I've seen in Phoenix. I hope you are considering him for a management position in your organization. Scott gets it when so many others fail in hospitality.

My recent stay at the Hyatt Place Phoenix- North was definitely one to remember. My room met my standards for the price paid and the comfortability was just fine. What made my stay exceptional had everything to do with 2 individuals of the staff.
HUGE shout out to the Front Desk Associate Brian and the Maintenance Tech Keith. These two incredible people were not only welcoming, but extremely resourceful & helpful. Brian exemplifies what it means to deliver top tier service by genuinely caring for his customers. His friendly demeanor, professionalism and kind hearted attitude are just a few qualities that make him a true asset to the Hyatt organization. Both Brian & Keith's sense of urgency to assist with customer requests is not only impressive but serves as an amazing service standard within the hospitality industry. Thank you Brian & Keith for the incredible experience.

****BED BUGS IN ROOM, GM REFUSED REFUND****
My wife and I had reserved a room at Hyatt Place Phoenix-North for 7 days, but unfortunately when we woke up on the first morning of our stay we found a bed bug crawling on my wife in our bed. We quickly killed it and called down to the front desk to notify them. About 30 minutes later, we found a second bed bug on the towel on the ground in the bathroom after I showered (my clothes from next to our bed were now on the bathroom floor, so either this one was on me or on my clothes).
We cancelled the rest of our stay and requested a refund of $168.34 for the night from the Front Office Manager. We provided a picture of the second bed bug as proof of what we encountered (which is also included in this review).
After a few days, the Front Office Manager said that she spoke with the GM and they rejected our refund because their staff, and a "pest company" couldn't find any bed bugs. I spoke with the Front Office Manager again and asked her to recheck the room and resent the picture of the bed bug - to where we were denied a second time. The manager said "In all my years of working in hospitality, I've never heard of a BB being in the bathroom.." and "maybe it was a tick?". So not only were they rejecting our photo evidence, they were acting as if it were impossible for a bed bug to travel on me (or my clothes) to the bathroom and using that loose justification to not issue us a refund.
As you can see from the attached picture, the (second) bed bug that we found was an Adult Unfed bed bug.
Bed bug aside - as you can read from the other reviews, the hotel was disgusting. There were stains all over the carpet and parts of the carpet were wet in our room for whatever reason. I wish we would've read the reviews before booking our room here. We stayed in room 335, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

Very average hotel. The rooms were very worn. The carpet was stained, and the couches had rips and holes in them. There was no microwave in the room however a small refrigerator. The location convenient near the freeway and the staff is friendly.

Checked in went to room opened door room was dirty bed not made tv on like someone was in room had to go back to front desk they seemed surprised. Moved to new room. Tub drain was slow standing in water while taking a shower.
Ice machine front panel broken on 3rd floor. This hotel needs a makeover. Just seems outdated and not worth the price they charge. Not up to Hyatt standards

This was my first visit to Arizona and I was alone. I landed early and was very nervous bc I was alone and wanted to regroup. I took a chance to see if I could check in and add I walked in I was immediately greeted with a warm smile. They checked me in early and was very welcoming. Matthew Mateo. My new bestie was incredible and was so pleasant and helpful making sure I had water and a snack.♥️ Brian was also a delight and very helpful. The whole staff ty for making my first solo trip across country amazing. My room was clean with the best ac and pillows. I slept amazing. I will definitely stay here each time I visit. Thank you for treating me like family and let me add. ..The breakfast was on point with great coffee and a very helpful staff. If I could give higher stars I would. Thank you Hyatt and staff

The front desk agent Matthew was great! We found out that not every room is capable of streaming from your device to the TV. But ROOM 435 IS FYI. That is why I rated 5 stars for service and 3 stars for rooms. Thanks Matthew!
Rooms: Not all TV's are capable of Google Chromecast or wifi streaming, which is disappointing because there are no streaming apps installed on the TV to sign into as well. I wish they would upgrade their room TV's.

Excellent customer service at the front desk!
I booked this hotel last minute due to a death in the family & it was very quick, convenient, not a headache at all. They even offered a complimentary drink & snack right at check-in which was a nice touch. :)

The first room I was checked into hadn’t been cleaned. I left the door open, which isn’t possible at most hotels, to signal the room wasn’t clean. I walked to a restaurant for dinner, and the door was still open. I think they probably only had one person on staff. Truly the worst Hyatt I’ve ever stayed at. They definitely bought it from a lower priced chain and didn’t upgrade it. The room smelled weird, and had a strange layout. Bathroom sink wasn’t in the bathroom. It didn’t have a door, and was small and on a carpeted area across from the bed. The rooms are cheap for a reason. I assumed the bad reviews were from a few disgruntled customers, but lesson learned. This is not a normal Hyatt property.
