Temple Chai is a welcoming and progressive synagogue that offers a unique worship experience. Unlike traditional synagogues, it has a more church-like atmosphere, with two female rabbis leading the services. The Friday night service is filled with singing and a short sermon, catering primarily to senior citizens. The congregation is known for its warm and accepting nature, even welcoming members with service dogs. The synagogue's Shalom Center is highly regarded for the wide range of services and support it provides to the Jewish community and beyond. The on-site gift shop offers a diverse selection of Judaica items for various occasions, with proceeds benefiting the temple's programs.
This is the most accepting Synagogue I have ever been to. The Clergy is very accessible. They even welcome my service dog!

Upon my very first encounter with the warm and inviting congregants at Temple Chai I see firsthand the warmth and camaraderie of this house of worship, family, and community!

The gift shop has so many unique items for not only the Jewish holidays and special occasions like Bar Mitzvah, but everyday living. Definitely spend some time perusing the inventory. There's no sales tax and proceeds benefit the Temple's programs so a win-win.
