The Van Buren is a popular concert venue located in downtown Phoenix, open since August 2017. It has a capacity of 1,800 and was converted from a historic vintage auto-dealership. The venue hosts a wide variety of nationally touring artists and community events, featuring performances by well-known acts like Sting, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, Kacey Musgraves, and many others. Guests often praise its friendly staff, clean bathrooms, and good sound quality. The venue is on the smaller side but offers a large floor space suitable for dancing and moshing, with plenty of seating around the edges and outside patio areas to meet friends. The bar provides a good selection of cocktails and beer at reasonable prices. Visitors appreciate the efficient entry process, the cool indoor environment, and the overall atmosphere, making it a favorite spot for live music in Phoenix. The Van Buren combines great acoustics, a welcoming environment, and a variety of events for an enjoyable experience.
This is such a rad venue. So far, I have seen The Pixies, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, and All Them Witches here, and all the shows were absolutely amazing. I love smaller, more intimate venues. Not a bad seat in the house! I will be back!

First experience to Dark Star Orchestra in 2025 was amazing. The recent show last January was a total disaster. We were in line well before the 7pm start and waited in a line that wrapped around to the next block. By the time we got in, we had missed almost the entire first set. Way oversold event.

Solid Venue, 3 main bar areas, and if you have a sound guy that knows what hes doing, it sounds great everywhere. Butted up next to a good pizza spot, always a good time.
