I recently visited Ulta in Desert Ridge to celebrate my granddaughter's birthday with a shopping spree. Unfortunately, the customer service with Tara was less than friendly and left a bit to be desired. Very dismissive and rude. It was a special occasion for us, and we were hoping for a more positive experience. Reached out to the manager at the store and although she listened to my feedback was not invested in resolution. With this feedback...I hope the Desert Ridge store can improve their customer service in the future.
On a side note...we initially mistakenly called the Promenade Ulta and Customer service was phenomenal! Managers Bailey and Sam were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Promenade will be our new store moving forward.

The best. Hands down the BEST Ulta experience I've ever had. Kristi was SO incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. I'm an about skincare lover but a total newbie with the makeup game, very particular, and had a million questions. She was able to answer them all, helped me find everything I needed and more, taught me so much, and her presence/energy was so genuine. The level of gratefulness I felt almost brought me to tears... Especially after a really poor experience at another location the day prior.
Chloe was also so kind and friendly.
These two are amazing people to have on the Ulta team and management should be proud!!
Money, time, and energy well spent!

$340.00 hair service where I got NONE of what I asked for despite showing several images for color / tone references. I was fed constant reassurance what I wanted was 10000% attainable. I already went in a little nervous as this had happened to me before…..maybe I was asking for too much but then to feel fully taken advantage of because a stylists wasn’t humble enough to admit the technique WAS beyond their ability. They’d rather F My hair up than lose a job. Now I have a second appointment somewhere else for an additional 250$ to correct all of what was done WRONG to my hair. Don’t go here for balayage hair painting or any multiple dimensional color work, they are only capable of roots, one color application and standard foils.

I went to this Ulta to get matched for my shade for a concealer, and was a little lost since I'm new to makeup. I have social anxiety and get very nervous speaking to employees and asking for strangers assistance. But Makenna made my process great and easy. She took her time to get me understanding my skin more and even got me to try a new product! Cliniques All Over Concealer! I enjoy the product and it's a great match for my skin! I'm grateful to have guidance and assistance from such great staff. Great service.

I’ve heard so many stories about how the employees would watch your every step without even trying to hide the fact that they’re watching you but did not believe it until today, I’ve never been so humiliated in my life, an ulta employee started following me since i’ve set foot there and was sooo open about it, looking at me and talking on her wakie takie and following my every step and than when I went to the shampoo section she ran and I mean RAN pushing customers put of the way to see If I was shoplifting, which even I was this was soooo unprofessional and HUMILIATING I’m never ever gonna set foot in ulta again and I’m not the only one with this experience ( the employee was wearing an orange sweater, black pants, black hair and glasses I believe she embarassed me in front of everyone

So disappointed in the Desert Ridge Salon.
I had a $300 balayage that I didn't want to touch, but the stylist (Giselle, Desert Ridge location) suggested a "toner" that would wash out in a week or two.
Well... she used permanent color because it never washed out!! A $300 balayage down the drain!!
Now, (and, I have auburn hair) & the last several visits my hair has been orange. Yuk!,
Come to find out that my color has been discontinued but she didn’t inform me.
Ultimately, Ulta has some good (& honest) stylists, and some not so much…

Ulta refused to give me a receipt. They're were pushy at 8:30 trying to get the store closed. It was uncomfortable in the first place, felt very rushed. Then I made my order, and wasn't given any proof of purchase. Went back in to ask for proof of purchase, girls were rude and had attitude. One girl physically grabbed my phone because I was recording that they didn't give me proof of purchase. They're basically stealing my money if my order doesn't show up. Ulta wants people to have receipts but refused to give customers receipts. Shame
And the 15/hr employees were rude and didn't wanna take the time to look up my purchase in the system, claiming they were closing. I went ahead and uploaded a video of them refusing to give me my receipt on YouTube to show people Ulta's shady practices. The minimum wage job is not worth your soul ladies.

This goes to the dark-skinned girl on May 10 at check.out at around 4ish. You got to improve your customer service.skills. if you want to help your customer and keep winning them back. Have patience & help. Be ready to.answer questions calmly not with an arrogant tone or attitude

I love ulta. This one doesn't have a lot of samples to try and none of the hair products but I can understand why. One woman working there was kinda rude but loved the arch expert Melissa (I think) and Rodi did a great job on my gloss

I love Ulta the have great products and reasonable prices. Today I experienced exceptional customer service from Bree! She was so friendly and upbeat, she helped me get approved for a credit card In just a few minutes. Since I shop here frequently this will be beneficial. Again Brees's customer service went above and beyond and it was a pleasure to have met her today! She is a fabulous employee!
