Whitfill Nurseries in Phoenix, AZ, has been serving the Valley since 1946 as a family-owned and operated business. They grow their own trees and plants to ensure they can withstand the hot desert climate. The nursery offers a wide variety of plants, including beautiful trees, flowers, shrubs, and seasonal items like pumpkins and Christmas trees. Their specialty is big trees, such as desert trees, specimen palms, shade trees, and citrus trees. Customers can enjoy free landscape design with a minimum purchase of $500.
Visitors appreciate the large size of the nursery, with hundreds of acres to explore, offering a vast selection of annuals, perennials, fruit trees, cacti, and outdoor ornaments. The staff is known for being helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly, making shopping a pleasant experience. Many customers have purchased plants and had them installed by the nursery's crews, praising the health and variety of the plants available.
While the nursery offers good prices and a great selection, some mention that pricing isn't always labeled, requiring customers to ask staff for prices. Although some items, like Christmas trees, can be expensive, overall, Whitfill Nurseries is highly recommended for gardening needs, offering quality plants, helpful staff, and a large, inviting space to find what is needed for any garden or outdoor project.
Bought two trees an had them delivered and planted. The landscaping crew did an incredible job. They were very professional and completed the job quickly! They even put my rock landscaping back and the yard looks amazing. Will definitely be going back to purchase more trees and plants.
